There are few talent showcases anywhere in the country on par with US Youth Soccer’s annual National Championships.
Of course, the immediate point of the tournament is to crown champions in seven age groups on both the boys and girls sides, but as a scouting tool it’s invaluable. A collection of some of the nation’s top players converge in one spot every year, and the performances are inevitably indelible. And for the boys, that once again came to bear in a tournament that continues to churn out perhaps a cadre of under-scouted talent from outside the Development Academy.

That, once again, was the case in 2017. What follows is TopDrawerSoccer.com’s boys Best XI from US Youth Soccer National Championships in July. It was quite a tournament, and this collection of players made sure to leave a lasting impression.
