Virginia snags two Mid-Atlantic stars
They’re both Mid-Atlantic stars; both spent time in U.S. U17 Residency, and now, both will be attending Virginia beginning in 2013.
In the same week that saw Patrick Foss make his verbal to the Cavaliers, Bethesda SC forward Nicko Corriveau also announced that he will be attending Virginia.
Corriveau, ranked as the No. 15 player in his class, will add a lot to a recruiting class that already includes the aforementioned Foss and Real Salt Lake star Jordan Allen.
In April, he was named a part of the U.S. U17 team that went to France for the Mondial Minimes Montaigu Tournament.
And now, Corriveau is joining forces with a familiar standout and posing a major threat to the rest of the ACC.
In other news, the Ivy League is getting a quality player in John Hilger who has verbally committed to Princeton for the 2012 season.
Hilger is ranked No. 87 in his class. He brings a strong presence in the midfield and connects well with his teammates.
Matthew Chasman (Strikers FC) has verbally committed to California for the 2013 season. Chasman is a very good goal scorer, and, despite missing a few games with injury this year, is a key cog for his team.
Josh Toribio (NJSA) has verbally committed to Towson for the 2012 season. He is No. 17 in the New Jersey Region.
Abdallah Bah (Minnesota Thunder Academy) has verbally committed to Wisconsin-Green Bay for the 2012 season.
Coming off their run to the College Cup, Creighton has three verbals for the 2012 season: Myles Englis (Cobb FC), Benjamin Kucera (Chicago Fire) and McAmos Paye (CASL).
