2025 Women's DI Postseason Awards
The 2025 season ended last week with Florida State lifting their second college cup title in three seasons.
That brings us to the TopDrawerSoccer post-season awards, based on several factors, including individual performance, statistical accomplishments, conference honors, and team success. Analyzing the entirety of the 2024 season, from kick-off in week one to the final whistle at the national championship game, here are your award winners for the women’s college soccer season
Stanford senior striker Jasmine Aikey was recognized as the Player of the Year.
Stanford freshman Y-Lan Nguyen takes home the Freshman of the Year award. Playing at the base of midfield is an intense proposition in college soccer, let alone for a first-year talent. Yet Nguyen looked like a veteran, starting the final 11 matches and playing 1600 minutes for the College Cup finalists. Time and time again, the Virginia native showcased professional-grade decision-making and an expertise in controlling the tempo of every match. Rounding out a strong core of contenders were Daya King of Duke, Caroline Birkel of Stanford, and Kamdyn Fuller of TCU.
Eric Bell of TCU is the Coach of the Year. Under his leadership, the Horned Frogs reached their first College Cup semifinal and secured a second consecutive Big 12 regular season title. The 12-year head coach has long proven to be among the premier recruiters and player developers in college soccer, and it added up to an epic 18-3-3 season.
