LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Soccer freshman striker Aaron Martin has been named the first MAAC Rookie of the Week honoree for the 2018 season. The Madrid, Spain native scored a team-high three points at the season opening HBU Invitational over the weekend.

Martin factored in the scoring in two of Siena’s three goals over the opening weekend of the season. In Friday’s season opener at Tournament host Houston Baptist, he scored the Saints’ first goal of the season to knot the score in an eventual 2-2 tie. Martin capped the weekend by assisting on the first goal of the match Sunday vs. UT Rio Grande Valley which staked Siena to an early lead.

Martin and the Saints return to action Friday night when they conclude their season opening three-match road trip with a 7 p.m. kickoff at Holy Cross.
