Broome CC Downs Kats, 4-1

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Sept. 29 - Broome Community College's Danielle Tyrell scored three goals, two in the first half, to lead the Hornets to a 4-1 win over the Erie CC women's soccer team Saturday afternoon at Jim Ball Stadium.
The Kats, now 4-7, got on the scoreboard when Jasmine Wiggins (Greece, N.Y./Greece Arcadia) netted a goal with 2:18 left in the first half. Following a pass from Allyson Wrazen (East Aurora, N.Y./Iroquois), Nicole Schichtel (Eden, N.Y./Eden) and Wiggins battled two Broome CC players for possession. Wiggins eventually fired a left-footed shot that hit the underside of the crossbar for a goal.
The Kats will play Cayuga CC at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Jim Ball Stadium.
