The Creighton Bluejays played Missouri Valley rival, Bradley, on Saturday night under the lights at Morrison Stadium.  The Bradley Braves came into the match 8-6-2, but with considerable previous success at Creighton 11-3-2.  In fact Bradley has had more wins than any other program (save Creighton), at Morrison Stadium.  But on Saturday night, the luck was on the side of the home team.  In the third minute a handball was called on Bradley in their own box, which earned Creighton a penalty kick.  Creighton junior, Bruno Castro, converted the PK and gave the Jays a 1-0 lead.  Bradley played the Jays with a man to man defense which allowed Creighton to move the ball freely at times in the midfield, but Bradley’s tactics also earned them scoring chances.   Creighton controlled possession, but over the course of the game Bradley created more goal scoring changes and earned more shots.  Bradley out shot Creighton 16-12 and 7-5 on goal.  Unfortunately for the Braves, Creighton’s Redshirt-Freshman goalkeeper, Jeff Gal, was able to maintain the Jay’s 11th consecutive MVC shutout, going back 1183 minutes!  Creighton’s recent defensive success has been credited by the players and coaching staff to team defense and settling on a back four defense after early season shuffling.  The win helps Creighton up to 13^th in the most recent RPI.

The final score was Creighton Bluejays 1-0 Bradley Braves.
