For the second time in five days a penalty kick in the waning minutes befell the Saints. Saint Joseph’s Jake Nelson scored with just 4:02 remaining in regulation as the Hawks snuck past Siena Men’s Soccer 1-0 in Philadelphia.

Last Friday night, Cornell was awarded a penalty kick with 6:59 remaining in regulation and scored to defeat the Saints (5-4) by the same heartbreaking 1-0 score. This time, Siena was whistled for a hand ball in the box in the 86^th minute and Nelson converted to hand the Saints their third straight defeat.

Saint Joseph’s (5-1-2) out-shot the Saints 18-10, with Siena holding a 7-6 advantage in corners. Junior striker Tom Allen came off the bench to account for six of the Saints’ shots.

Josh Weiss made six saves for Siena which nonetheless finished with five wins during a challenging non-conference schedule, tying for the second most in program history.

Bobby Edwards stopped three shots to earn the shutout for the Hawks which ran their unbeaten streak to six (4-0-2).

Siena concludes its program record six-match road trip and kicks off its 26^th season in the MAAC Tuesday at Iona at 3 p.m.
