DAYTON WINS PURDUE BOILERMAKER CHALLENGE CUP

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - University of Dayton junior Colleen Williams was named Offensive MVP of the Boilermaker Challenge Cup after scoring the game-winning goal in the Flyers' 1-0 victory over Cal State Northridge in the championship game Sunday at the Varsity Soccer Complex. She also had a goal and a the game-winning assist in UD's 3-1 win over nationally-ranked Kansas Friday.Junior Alysha Mallon had the game-winning assist Sunday against the Matadors.
Dayton senior Kelsey Miller was named the Defensive MVP. Seniors Kelsey Owen, Emily Kenyon and Kathleen Beljan, and sophomores Juliana Libertin and Sarah Senoyuit were named to the all-tournament team.
No. 29 Dayton (6-1-0) takes on No. 22 Ohio State this Wednesday, Sept. 14 in Columbus in a rematch of last year's NCAA Second Round in which the Buckeyes advanced on a shootout and went on to make a Final Four appearance.
