Flynn's Brace Leads Bowling Green Past ASU
Senior Pat Flynn scored a pair of goals on Sunday afternoon (Aug. 28), leading the Bowling Green State University men's soccer team to a 3-1 win over Appalachian State University. The non-conference match was held at Cochrane Stadium.
Junior Keaton Reynolds also scored for the Falcons, who end the first weekend of the 2016 season with a 2-0-0 record. After the Brown and Orange conceded an early goal to the Mountaineers, Flynn scored midway through the opening period, and Reynolds gave BG the lead for good in the final minute of the first half. Flynn's second goal of the day, in the 61st minute, gave the home team some breathing room.
Flynn now has 25 goals and 60 points in his BGSU career, and he moved into the top 10 on both Falcon career lists with his Sunday performance.
