Gomez Picks Up OVC All-Newcomer Honor

MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State freshman soccer defender Kelsey Gomez was one of 11 players named to the Ohio Valley Conference All-Newcomer Team for the 2012 season.
The Katy, Texas native started 14 of 18 matches for the Eagles and finished the season with one goal. She was also third amongst field players in minutes played (1,394).
Gomez and the Eagles finished the 2012 season 2-12-4 overall and 2-5-3 in league play.
