Huskers Blanked by Bears
Waco, Texas - The Nebraska soccer team was unable to get its offense going on Friday night at Betty Lou Mays Field, as the Baylor Bears shutout the Huskers, 3-0.
The Bears were aggressive throughout the game with 28 shots on the night, including nine on goal, while the Huskers were unable to crack the BU defense.
Baylor's Dana Larsen started the scoring with her third goal of the season at 17:37 and Lisa Sliwinski added a goal at 41:11 to give the Bears a 2-0 lead at halftime. Karlee Summer netted her first goal of the season at 63:46 to cap Baylor's scoring.
Nebraska will need to quickly regroup for its Noon game on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bearcats in Cincinnati at Gettler Stadium. GoBearcats.com is scheduled to provide a live video stream and live stats.
