Iona Men's Soccer Has 10 MAAC All-Academic
EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced its men's All-Academic awards on Tuesday, Nov. 6. The Iona College men's soccer team has 10 student-athletes on the team. The Gaels had the second highest total among all the league schools.
Sophomores Joseph Cusano, Luca Fava, Tomas Jamett, Lenworth Lopez, Josh Plimpton and Giuliano Santucci all earn the distinction in their first year of eligibility.
Junior Malcolm Moreno and George Tsevdos are both repeat winners. Senior Humbert Ferrer concludes his career as a three-time MAAC All-Academic honoree. Fellow senior Rory Head, in his second year at Iona, also joins his classmate.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
