Liberty Men’s Soccer 2020 Schedule Set

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Liberty men’s soccer team has announced a challenging schedule for 2020.
In his second season at Liberty, Head Coach Kelly Findley’s team will have eight home contests, highlighted by non-conference matches against North Carolina and Navy, both nationally ranked during the year last season, and an ASUN contest with conference champion NJIT.
The Flames’ home slate also includes non-conference matches against Radford, Longwood and UMBC, along with ASUN Conference matches against Jacksonville and North Florida.
Liberty will open the 2020 regular season against Radford at Osborne Stadium on Aug. 27. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
In addition, Findley’s team will face Duquesne, George Washington and High Point, which won 13 games last season, on the road in 2020. In conference, the Flames will travel to FGCU, Lipscomb, Stetson and ASUN newcomer Bellarmine. Three of Liberty’s final four matches will be on the road.
The Flames will play three exhibition games in August to prepare for the regular season. Liberty will visit Virginia and host East Tennessee State and VMI during the exhibition season.
The top six teams in the ASUN standings will advance to the 2020 ASUN Men's Soccer Championship. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be held at the home sites of the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, Nov. 6 and 8. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will receive a bye and play the quarterfinal winners in the semifinals. The finals will be played on the home field of the highest remaining seed on Nov. 14. The conference champion receives an automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament.
