MAAC Announces Women's Soccer Preseaon Poll
NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Wednesday evening the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced the Preseason All-MAAC Team and Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The Iona College women’s soccer team was selected to place tenth in the preseason poll.
The Gaels received 27 points, 15 more than the Saint Peter’s Peacocks, and eight behind ninth-ranked Canisius College.
The Monmouth University Hawks have been voted by the coaches as the preseason favorite to win the MAAC. The Hawks received ten first place votes, and 119 overall points. The Saints were selected to place second, and the Rider Broncs took third with 96 points and one first place vote.
