Men’s Soccer Rebounds with 2-1 Road Win
NORTH CANTON, Ohio – In their second double over time of the season, the Ohio Dominican men's soccer team pulled out a 2-1 victory over Walsh University in the 100th minute on Sunday afternoon in North Canton, Ohio.
With the win, the Panthers are now 4-3-1 overall and 3-2 in the GLIAC while the Cavaliers drop to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
Senior Tommy Glenn (Pataskala, Ohio) started the Panthers in the right direction after he posted his first goal of the season at the 37:28 mark off a rebound.
Following the break, the Cavaliers knotted the score at 1-1 when Michael Dudics chipped in a goal at the 88:02 mark unassisted.
After a scoreless first overtime, freshman Kevin McMahon (Dublin, Ohio) headed the game winning goal from the right side in the 100th minute from freshman Brent Wahle (Pataskala, Ohio).
The Panthers held a 23-12 shot advantage over the Cavaliers, including 12-4 shots on goal. Junior goalie Dean Dziewit (Waterford, Mich.) notched three saves in goal.
ODU continues their road trip to Michigan this weekend, taking on Northwood on Friday, Sep. 28 at 4:00 and Saginaw Valley on Sunday, Sep. 30 at 1:00 p.m.
