EDISON, New Jersey - Senior Connor Preece was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 5-12, it was announced Monday. He was also recognized with the same distinction last season. 

Preece knocked in the game-winning goal against Fairfield on Oct. 10 to help Marist remain unbeaten in MAAC play this season (4-0-1). He had two shots on goal in the 2-1 contest and is tied for second on the Red Foxes with a pair of goals in 2015.

A business administration major, Preece has been named to the MAAC All-Academic Team for the past two years. He appeared in all 18 games for the Red Foxes' last season and earned CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District honors. He was a co-president on Marist's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) during the 2014-15 academic year.   

The Red Foxes will put their five-match streak without a loss on the line when they face off against Iona at 2 p.m. Oct. 14 in New Rochelle, New York.
