KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Fort Lewis College women’s soccer team (9-1-3 overall, 6-1-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) slipped 12 spots to No. 21 in the seventh NCAA Division II poll of the season, released earlier today by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and Continental Tire.

The Skyhawks, ranked No. 9 in the nation last week, lost 4-0 at then-No. 25 Colorado Mines Friday before playing to a 2-2 draw at then-No. 13 Metro State Sunday.

Two RMAC teams are ranked this week: No. 15 Colorado Mines and No. 21 Fort Lewis. Metro State dropped out of the Top 25, but still received votes.

After playing 10 of their first 13 games on foreign soil, the Skyhawks return home for four straight at Dirks Field. The Skyhawks host Colorado Christian (2-11-0, 1-8-0) at 1 p.m. Friday before facing Metro State (9-2-1, 5-2-1) at 1 p.m. Sunday.

“Every game in the RMAC is a huge game, and this weekend is no exception,” said fifth-year Skyhawk skipper Damian Clarke. “Christian has been playing tough and obviously Metro is a tremendous team.”

The NCAA Division II regional rankings were also announced today. The Skyhawks slipped to a third place tie for the Central Region rankings:
