TDS Men's Division I Top 25: Sept. 6
September 6, 2021
The 2019 national champions are back on top -- for now.
Georgetown takes over No. 1 in the TDS Men's Division I Top 25, winners of three straight to start the season. The Hoyas are 3-0 after winning by a 1-0 score at Syracuse on a John Franks goal. It sets up a Top 25 clash against Maryland on Saturday at Shaw Field.
The Hoyas are the third No. 1 team already this season after Marshall and Indiana previously held that mantle. It's shaping up to be a wild season in men's DI soccer.
West Virginia made the biggest splash in this week's rankings update, defeating two Top 25 opponents at home last. Wins against Pittsburgh and Penn State propels the Mountaineers all the way to No. 10 this week.
