Toby Abdul-Razaq Powers Pitt-Bradford Past D'Youville
Toby Abdul-Razaq scored a pair of goals to lead the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men’s soccer team to a 3-1 win over D’Youville Tuesday.
Both of Abdul-Razaq’s goals came in the opening 13 minutes of the game, and Joseph Sesay would add a score late in the first half to complete the scoring for Pitt-Bradford. D’Youville scored in the game’s closing minutes to spoil the shutout.
The Panthers outshot the Spartans 10-6 and held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks. Adam Forster finished with one save and Korbin Keene was credited with an assist.
“Overall all it was a very solid victory,” said head coach Darek Panol. “I’m proud of our team for having such a positive start to conference play.”
Pitt-Bradford improves to 2-5-1 on the season and more importantly, 2-0 in AMCC play. The Panthers will host Penn State Altoona on Saturday at 1 p.m.
