Mount Pleasant, Mich. – University of Dayton senior forward Stephanie Emery scored in the 14th minute, and the Dayton defense made it stand up, as the Flyers earned a hard-fought 1-0 win on the road at Central Michigan. UD is unbeaten in its last three matches and has now evened its record at 4-4-1.

Dayton had the first four shots of the match, and after CMU got on the stat sheet with its first shot, Juliana Libertin found Emery who found the net and scored her second goal of the season. That was all freshman goalkeeper Elizabeth James needed. James made three saves on the night as she and the Flyer defense turned in their third shutout of the year.

It was Libertin's 32nd career assist. She is second all-time at Dayton, and third among active NCAA Division I players.

UD out-shot Central Michigan 15-13, but had a decided advantage in shots-on-goal 7-3.

Dayton stays on the road on Sunday, playing at Toledo. Kickoff is 1:00 p.m. ET.
