Women's Soccer Plays Chicago State to Draw
CHICAGO, Ill. – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women’s soccer team played the Chicago State Cougars to a 1-1 double overtime draw in their first conference road match on Friday at Kroc Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, freshman Aimie Inthoulay got the Broncs (7-1-4, 1-0-1 WAC) on the board with a goal at the 46:33 mark while sophomore Sheridan Becanic picked up the assist. It was the fifth goal of the season for Inthoulay
Later in the second half, Chicago State (1-8-1, 0-0-1 WAC) tied things up as Jyllian Coggins knocked in a goal at the 71:55 mark.
The Broncs outshot the Cougars 32 to 5 while freshman goalie Aubrey Coley (4-1-4) recorded three saves in the match.
The Broncs are back in action on Sunday when they face Kansas City at 12 p.m. at Durwood Stadium. Sunday’s match will debut the preview of the Digital WAC Network.
