Women's Soccer Wins Opener at Ohio

Behind a first-half goal from Liz Soto, the Wright State women's soccer team defeated Ohio 1-0 in the season opener for both teams Friday afternoon in Athens.
Soto's goal came just 7:46 into the contest and the Raider defense held on from there for the victory. WSU goalkeeper Brooke McCurdy posted the shutout as she recorded six saves.
Wright State returns to action on Sunday, August 21, as the Raiders host Canisius in a 1:00 match at the Athletes in Action Complex in Xenia.
