Peyton Willie, Forward, Campton United
Class: 2018
Commitment: Illinois
An attacking player constantly looking to get forward and score goals, Peyton Willie’s visit to Illinois and interaction with head coach Janet Rayfield tipped the scales in favor of the Big Ten program.
“I really connected with her and I knew at that moment that I wanted to play college soccer for her,” Willie told TopDrawerSoccer. “She offers more than just coaching, she is committed to making me the best person both on and off the field that I can be.”
With a variety of Big Ten programs on her radar, the Illini eventually won out.
“I liked the emphasis that the coaches put on community, team, traditions and playing as a unit, as a team,” Willie said.
