HS: Fall state, region rankings, Sept. 24
Xavier (Conn.) boys move to No. 1 in the Northeast Region, while St. John's (D.C.) and McDonogh School (Md.) flip spots yet again in the girls Mid-Atlantic Region to highlight the changes in this week's regional rankings.
Expect the boys Northeast Region to continue to be a revolving door between the top Connecticut and Massachusetts programs.
On the girls side, St. John's started No. 1 in the region, but traded spots after McDonogh posted key out-of-state wins while St. John's was idle. A draw by McDonogh on Sunday flipped the teams back to their original order.
Across the board -- boys and girls -- it was another week with few changes in the top few spots regionally.
