HS: State, region rankings, March 26
A clash of Illinois girls soccer powers last week ended in a draw, leaving a new Chicagoland team as No. 1, highlighting the changes in this week's state and region rankings.
New Trier (Ill.) moves to the top after St. Charles North (Ill.) and defending state and national champ Barrington (Ill.) played to a 2-2 draw.
In other noteworthy girls soccer moves, Westminster Schools (Ga.) returns to No. 1 in the state and regional rankings while Cheyenne Central (Wyo.) moves to No. 1 in the state. Rock Springs (Wyo.) is the lone new No. 1 team in the boys spring rankings.
On the winter side, there was little change as most teams played only once to finish regular season play last week.
