The first week of high school action in California brought about a slight shakeup among the boys state and regional rankings, while most the top projected girls teams either won or have yet to play.

There were no changes among the No. 1 teams on any state or region level for the week ending Dec. 7.

This week, however, a clash of girls powers between SIMA FAB 50 No.. 1 Cathedral Catholic and No. 3 Torrey Pines is sure to alter next week's Top 5.

Some of the big movers this past week were Paramount (Calif.) boys following a win over San Clemente (Calif.) and [Choctawhatchee fl-m] (Fla.) boys, powered by a 12-0 start.
