BIG MOVERS -- BOYS: Northwest Rankin (Flowood, Miss.). No team moved up more than four spots this week. Northwest Rankin, sporting a 15-0 record, was one of the four-spot movers, inching up to No. 36 this week as teams in Mississippi start to wind down regular season play.  GIRLS: Monte Vista (Danville, Calif.). The Mustangs jumped up 20 spots this week to land at No. 13 following a 4-0 showing at the Tri-Valley Classic. 

NEWCOMERS: BOYS: No. 16 Homestead (Cupertino, Calif.), No. 40 Bellarmine Prep (San Jose, Calif.), No. 42 Berkeley (Berkeley, Calif.), No. 45 Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.) and No. 49 Tampa Jesuit (Tampa, Fla.). GIRLS: No. 12 Valley Christian (San Jose, Calif.), No. 14 El Toro (Lake Forest, Calif.), No. 20 Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, Calif.), No. 33 Beckman (Irvine, Calif.), No. 40 [Mitchell (New Port Richey) fl-w] (Trinity, Fla.), No. 49 St. Johns Country Day (Orange Park, Fla.) and No. 50 Presentation (San Jose, Calif.).

LOOKING AHEAD: -- BOYS: Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.) plays host to the annual Arizona Soccer Showcase this week, featuring 32 boys teams and 24 girls teams from Arizona, California, Hawaii and even a lone Texas private school. GIRLS: Teams from Arizona, California and Hawaii will be at the Excalibur event, hosted by Santa Ana Foothill. The 32-team tournament often sorts out the rankings for the western regions.
