In early December, the girls soccer teams from Archbishop McCarthy (Southwest Ranches, Fla.) and Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) played back-to-back matches at the Women's Invitational Soccer Tournament at Montverde. The wins that weekend left many wondering, what if these powers actually played each other instead of common opponents.

Now, 2 1/2 months later, we'll find out.

Archbishop McCarthy, 25-0, and Montverde Academy, 22-0, won their region final and state semifinal matches last week, meaning the state's top two teams will square off this week in the Class 4A state final, slated for Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. EST.

The Florida clash highlights a week full of title matches stretching coast to coast. 

Both Florida boys and girls finish this week. Louisiana boys and girls will wrap up their state tournaments this week, along with Mississippi's boys private schools and Arziona boys and girls. In California, the remaining section finals will be contested, setting up the regional events for the week after.

In some of the major ranking moves this week, Cathedral (Calif.) and Miami Varela (Fla.) boys and Coppell (Texas) girls take over their respective regional No. 1 rankings.
