BLUE DIVISION

The top two spots in the 15U Blue Division are still undecided, as the girls head into the final weekend of National League play. PDA Shore Freedom (NJ) put itself in good position in Bradenton, Fla., after claiming two wins and a tie to bring the team to 15 points. Two contenders for a top-two finish and the accompanying berth to the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Championships include Tennessee SC Showcase (TN) and San Diego Soccer Club Academy-Navy (CA-S). Both teams have three more games left to play in Las Vegas, and Tennessee SC holds a 3-1-0 record while San Diego Soccer Club stands with a 2-0-2 record.

The 2017 National Championships finalist, Nationals Union 03 Black (MI), and GPS Oregon FC Bayern 03 (OR) both need to win all three of their games in Vegas to be in contention for the top two spots.

There’s no doubt that this matchup on the first day in Las Vegas will set the tone for the weekend and the division. One factor to keep in mind is the amount of goals scored per side. Tennessee SC has achieved each of its three wins with one-goal differences, scoring four goals and allowing three so far this season. Meanwhile, San Diego Soccer Club has accumulated eight goals and allowed just two on the season.

RED DIVISION

After CSA Impact United 03 Black (OH-N) claimed one of the two top positions in Florida, the remaining four teams in the 15U Red Division will battle for the remaining spot in Las Vegas. While Midwest United FC Royal (MI) currently occupies the second-place position with nine points, the Michigan side already completed its season in Florida, and 2017 National Champion LVPSA 03 Red (NV) is in a solid position to earn its way back to Nationals. The Nevada side sits in third place with eight points and three games left to play. Close behind LVPSA is Legends FC 03 (CA-S), who has a record of 2-1-1 this season.

NCFC Elite (NC) and Beadling 2003 Elite (PA-W) have some work cut out for them as they each have four points on the season, but anything could happen during the final weekend.

It could all come down to the final day in Vegas to determine who will take the final spot for the National Championships. Legends and LVPSA are both within reach, but if they do well in their first two games, this match-up will be an intense battle.
