High School Hibernation

So Cal Blues is still the top team in the Grande Sports Academy TeamRank Top 25 for the U16 age group. The Blues are at the end of the high school break though and will be returning to action in the next few weeks. The Blues remain the team to beat in this age group with an impressive 13-0 record.

Dallas Sting moves into the No. 2 spot in this age group. Since the last update, Sting is 4-0-1 and now stands at 17-1-3 on the season. The Texas squad is loaded with talented players and looks ready to make a run at the national championship.

FC Dallas, also, moved up the standings this month. FC Dallas knocked off Solar 1-0 and defeated FC Nova and Crossfire during the ECNL National Event in Texas. Fc Dallas is one of three Texas teams in the top 10.

Keeping it Real

Real Colorado kept hold of the No. 1 spot in the Grande Sports Academy TeamRank Top 25 for the U17 age group. The Northwest Conference leader is 11-0-3 on the season after picking up a 6-1 win over Jacksonville, but was held to a scoreless draw against Indiana Fire.

Indiana Fire also picked up a big win over Crossfire Premier since the last update and makes the biggest jump in the March update to the TeamRank Top 25. Fire did well during the National Event in Texas and looks ready for the playoffs.

Boston Breakers jumps into the Top 25 for this update. The Breakers are 3-0-2 on the season and recently won 6-0 over previously ranked Albertson SC.

Hear the Thunder

Minnesota Thunder Academy was the busiest team in the ECNL over the past month. The Midwest Conference side played four games since the last TeamRank update. Over the quartet of contests, Thunder scored 28 goals and let in 9 while compiling a 3-1 record. Thunder jumps up to No. 10 in the TeamRank March update for the Girls U18 club soccer team ranking.

Real Colorado also moves up the TeamRank top 25 in this update. Real Colorado played to a 3-3 draw against Crossfire United and claimed a 1-0 win over FC Portland. Crossfire United also picked up a draw in the past month against Crossfire Premier. United is on the cusp of joining the TeamRank Top 25.

Internationals joined the TeamRank Top 25 this month. The Ohio club is 5-0-2 on the season and in the Champions League picture with only a few months left in the regular season.

Next Friday: U13, U14, and U15 Boys

Grande Sports TeamRank is the comprehensive team-ranking system devised by TopDrawerSoccer.com to provide an objective and common-sense approach to determining which elite youth soccer teams are the best in the nation.

The rankings, updated monthly, are primarily results-based, with a nod toward the league and championship competitions that emulate how excellence is determined in leading soccer nations around the world.

Tournaments are also included but at a reduced value due to the many mitigating factors involving such events, including attrition and guest players.

A final layer of executive evaluation is provided to account for variables that often impact results, thus ensuring that the monthly lists are not subjective, but are not purely mechanical.
