In the driver’s seat for a Group F triumph, the U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team held on for a 1-1 draw to advance at the U20 World Cup.

A Brooks Lennon goal provided the offense for the U.S., as center back Cameron Carter-Vickers picked up harsh two yellow cards in the first half. Forced to play down a man for the entirety of the second half, the U.S. held on, despite conceding a 74th minute equalizer. With Senegal drawing Ecuador 0-0, the U.S. finished atop its group to advance to the Round of 16.

Here are three thoughts on the match.
