Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Out:
Jon Coleman
In: Chris Whalley
Outlook: The Panthers are looking to return to their winning ways and they’ve gone in the direction of a young up-and-comer. Whalley had great success at the Division II level with Lees-McRae (North Carolina) as he led them to the national championship game last season.

He’ll have a new challenge at with UWM, a program that has sputtered to a 20-44-12 record over the past four seasons after previously ascending to become the standard of the Horizon League.

Army
Out:
Kurt Swanbeck
In: Russell Payne
Outlook: The brass at West Point are hoping that some of Maryland’s magic can rub off on the Army program. By plucking former Terrapins assistant Russell Payne, Army gets a talented disciple of Sasho Cirovski.

Army can use whatever new energy it can get, after going 1-13-1 in 2009 including a winless stint in the Patriot League. Having a coach who has national championship experience can only help.

St. Louis(m)
Out:
Dan Donigan
In: Mike McGinty
Outlook: With Donigan departing for Rutgers, the Billikens are getting one of the hottest assistants in the country. McGinty was a part of the national title-winning Virginia team and this will be his first head coaching gig.

McGinty is walking into a great situation and should only enhance it.

Clemson
Out:
Phil Hindson
In: Mike Noonan
Outlook: If his success at Brown was any indication, Clemson could be on the upswing. Noonan went 160-77-31 over fifteen years in the Ivy League and will look to duplicate those winning ways for an ACC program that has some good history – just not recently.

The Tigers finished 6-12-1 last season before letting go Phil Hindson, the interim coach who filled in during the 2009 campaign after Trevor Adair resigned.

mens college soccer coach andy flemming from xavierXavier's new head coach, Andy Fleming
Xavier
Out:
Dave Schureck
In: Andy Fleming
Outlook: This will be Fleming’s first head coaching position though he has certainly been around, having enjoyed stints with Northwestern and Boston University.

Fleming will have an uphill battle, however. Xavier was 2-13-1 last season and they don’t have a lot of rich history to draw from.

Penn State
Out:
Barry Gorman
In: ?
Outlook:
Gorman raised a few eyebrows when he announced his resignation a couple of weeks ago, ending a stint of 22 years with the Nittany Lions.

Needless to say, there will be big, big shoes to fill in University Park.
