FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The boys fall high school season includes the following states: Colorado, Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia (private), West Virginia, Wisconsin.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Ronald Mafunzwaini scored the first goal five minutes into the match and then added the game-clincher as St. Benedict's defeated Salesianum (Del.) 3-1. Sebastian Chalbaud scored the Gray Bees' other goals. with the game at 1-0, sophomore keeper Aurie Briscoe made a save on a PK that proved to be a game-changer. St. Benedict's now has wins over nine teams that entered the match undefeated, including three teams in the FAB 50.

Whitefish Bay Whitefish Bay, WI 16-0-0
Matthew Comiskey had two goals and four assists as Whitefish Bay defeated Nicolet and Cedarburg last week.

Conestoga Berwyn, PA 12-0-1
Conestoga has scored at least four goals in all but three outings this year. Last week, the defending state champs defeated Ridley (5-0), Garnet Valley (5-1) and Unionville (6-1).

Libertyville Libertyville, IL 12-0-2
Libertyville was held to a 1-1 draw with Top 25-ranked Waukegan last week in a battle of highly ranked Chicagoland programs. Parker Jachim scored the tying goal, which leaves Libertyville and Waukegan tied for the league title.

Martin Luther King Manhattan, NY 10-0-0
Gassasou Coulibaly had three assists in MLK's 10-0 win over Stuyvesant last week. Earlier in the week, MLK topped Hicksville 3-1 as Aly Camara scored twice and Yaya Bakayoko had a pair of assists.

Dodge City Dodge City, KS 12-0-0
Seniors Mario Martinez, Joshua Donjuan and Miguel Baca each had hat tricks on Senior Night as Dodge City made easy work of Thomas More Prep 11-1 last week. Martinez also scored three goals in the team's 7-1 win over Hays, which wrapped up a fourth straight Western Athletic Conference title for Dodge City.

Delbarton School Morristown, NJ 11-0-1
Second-half goals from Colgate commit Kian Alberto and Liam McSorley carried Delbarton to a 2-1 win over Mount Olive.

Blue Valley Southwest Overland Park, KS 10-0-0
Junior Aidan Bates had three goals and three assists last week as Blue Valley Southwest held off Mill Valley and rolled to a one-sided win over Blue Valley.

Georgetown commit Luke Kiley scored three goals as Dublin Coffman posted its most impressive result of the season in a 5-2 win over reigning state champion St. Ignatius.

Naperville North defeated Waubonsie Valley and Joilet West last week to remain on the move up in the FAB 50 rankings.

Hector Gomez netted five goals last week as St. Francis de Sales won three matches. He scored both goals in the team's 2-0 win over St. Charles, which was the large school state runner-up last year to St. Ignatius.

Andrew Luchansky factored offensively in all three Parkland wins last week, scoring goals against Emmaus and Allentown Central Catholic and assisting a score in the team's victory over Nazareth.

Will Toomey scored in the final minute as E.O. Smith edged Tolland 1-0 in the Panthers' lone outing last week.

Peters Township is riding a 10-match win streak since an early tie with Pittsburgh Central Catholic. Last week, Peters Township defeated Bethel Park and Upper St. Clair.

Wayzata closed out an undefeated regular season with a 9-0 win over Shakopee. The school's boys and girls varsity programs are a combined 26-0-5 this season.

Jordan Okito scored four goals as Forest Hills Northern cruised to an 8-0 win over Cedar Springs last week.

Bishop Gorman received goals from three players in a 3-1 win over Western in the team's only outing last week.

Severna Park is the top-ranked team in The Washington Post and is poised to snag the top spot in Baltimore following a loss by Curley. The Falcons' defining result was a 4-1 win over Gonzaga (D.C.), a team that won the Jesuit Classic with two recent FAB 50 opponents.

Cardinal Gibbons scored only one goal last week, but it was enough to keep the Crusaders undefeated. Gibbons edged Leesville Road 1--0 and played to a scoreless draw with Enloe.

Senior Andres Zanios scored six goals and assisted on four last week as La Cueva won three matches.

Jonathan Medin gave Waukegan a 1-0 lead before the team surrendered a second-half goal in a 1-1 draw with Libertyville. The teams finish 6-0-1 in league play and will share the North Suburban Conference title.

Morton was pushed to a shootout before defeating Leyden last week. Morton's lone loss is to Waukegan.
23 Walt Whitman Bethesda, MD 7-1-1
Natan Rosen scored both goals in Whitman's 2-1 win over Churchill and assisted on a goal in the Vikings' 2-0 win over defending state champ Walter Johnson last week. Whitman's only setback is a 2-1 loss to St. Benedict's (N.J.).

Archbishop Curley Baltimore, MD 13-1-1
Curley was upset by former Top 25-ranked Mount St. Joseph last week, yet the Friars remain the top team in a strong MIAA A Conference. Curley's national standing will be put to the test over the next eight days with matches against St. Augustine (N.J.) and FAB 50-ranked McDonogh.

Salesianum Wilmington, DE 7-1-0
A missed penalty kick proved to be a game-changer as Salesianum fell to top-ranked St. Benedict's (N.J.) 3-1. With the match at 1-0, Salesianum had a chance to draw even with a PK, which was turned away by the St. Benedict's keeper. A couple minutes later the New Jersey opened a 2-0 lead en route to the victory.
