FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The boys fall high school season includes the following states: Colorado, Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia (private), West Virginia, Wisconsin.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Sebastian Chalbaud converted a penalty kick in the 77th minute as St. Benedict's edged Holy Ghost Prep (Pa.) 3-2 to remain perfect, ending Holy Ghost's perfect season. Earlier in the week, St. Benedict's conceded a goal in the fourth minute but rallied for a 5-1 victory over former FAB 50-ranked Pennington School.

Indiana commit Ryan Wittenbrink scored three goals in the team's 4-0 win over Lake Zurich and he had a goal, along with one from Will Powers as Libertyville edged Mundelein last week.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee commit Jackson Dryden scored five goals as Whitefish Bay won two matches at the Go 4 The Goal Fall Classic last week. The team was unable to face Rockhurst (Mo.) in the group final since the contest fell during a holiday period in which the school required its teams to observe.

After dominating league play, Archbishop Curley was held to a draw by C.M. Wright. The Friars will be put to the test this week with a match against preseason FAB 50-ranked Mount St. Joseph.

No team has held Conestoga to less than two goals in a match this season. Last week, the defending champs defeated Strath Haven 4-0 and Haverford 5-0.

Gavin Ford scored three goals and assisted on one as Salesianum handled DeMatha (Md.) 4-0 and beat state-ranked St. Augustine (N.J.) 2-0. This week, Salesianum and St. Benedict's clash on Saturday in New Jersey.

Mario Martinez scored three goals last week as the team defeated Garden City 2-1 and Hutchinson 10-0.

Yaya Bakayoko had two goals and five assists last week as MLK defeated Manhattan Center for Science and Math and Frederick Douglas Academy.

Ivan Scotto staked Delbarton to a 1-0 lead, but state-ranked Delran rallied for a 1-1 draw last week in this battle of highly ranked New Jersey teams. Following the tie, Delbarton bounced back with a 5-1 win over Hanover Park.

Aidan Bates scored twice and Jake Glass assisted on a pair of goals as Blue Valley Southwest defeated St. Thomas Aquinas 3-2 last week to highlight a two-win week. That was the same St. Thomas Aquinas that reached the Go 4 The Goal Fall Classic Bracket A final and built a 3-0 lead before losing 4-3 to Naperville North (Ill.).

Chris Thorburn gave Cardinal Gibbons a 2-0 lead against rival Broughton, and it ended up being an important goal as the Crusaders hung on for a 2-1 victory. Gibbons followed up that result with a 7-0 win over Southeast Raleigh.

Naperville North delivered an amazing final 40 minutes to capture the Go 4 The Goal Fall Classic Bracket A title. The Huskies fell behind 3-0 to St. Thomas Aquinas (Kan.) then got goals from four players in a 4-3 championship match victory.

Antony Priest scored three goals last week, including the lone score in a 1-0 win over state-ranked Fairview last week. Fort Collins has allowed only one goal this season. This week, the team clashes with perennial state title challenger Broomfield.

Larson Richards had a goal and two assists to highlight the offense in E.O. Smith's 4-0 win over Berlin to cap a two-win week. The Panthers also defeated Manchester 5-3.

Parkland defeated Allentown Central Catholic, East Stroudsburg South and Pocono Mountain West last week to remain undefeated against Pennsylvania teams. Owen Iacobelli, who committed to Shippensburg last week, scored at least one goal in all three outings. Parkland's lone setback was a 2-1 loss to South Kent School (Conn.), the nation's top-ranked prep school team.
