FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The boys fall high school season includes the following states: Colorado, Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia (private), West Virginia, Wisconsin.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Conestoga Berwyn, PA 3-0-0
Conestoga rolled up 19 goals in its first three outings as the PIAA Class 4A defending state champions made quite a statement. The team kicked off the season with a 5-1 win over last year's state semifinalist and District 1 rival West Chester Henderson. A match later this month with Haverford School will provide a point of reference for this team and many of the East Coast powers.
2 (2) St. Benedict's Prep Newark, NJ 4-0-0
Eight players have scored goals for St. Benedict's in wins over four out-of-state teams, which includes one defending state champ and one recent state champ. The Gray Bees clash with nationally ranked Christian Brothers this week.
3 (3) Bradley-Bourbonnais Bradley, IL 6-0-0
Bradley-Bourbonnais was pushed to overtime for the second time this season, but emerged with a 2-1 win over Lincoln-Way North.

Archbishop Curley Baltimore, MD 4-0-0
Sophomore Bryce Woodward and senior Penn commit Ben Stitz scored the goals as Archbishop Curley defeated Mount St. Joseph 2-0 in a clash of highly ranked Baltimore teams.

Emeka Eneli and Georgetown commit Luke Kiley each scored twice last week as Dublin Coffman defeated always-strong Copley and Pickerington North.

Ibrahima Diop scored the lone goal as Pennington School started the season with a 1-0 victory over Mercersburg Academy (Pa.).

Indiana commit Ryan Wittenbrink scored three goals and Will Powers had a pair of assists as Libertyville delivered a surprising one-sided, 6-0 win over Warren.

Fordham Prep started the season with wins over Iona Prep and Regis, both 2-0 shutouts.

Demiah Joseph scored the lone goal, assisted by Akeem Shelton, as MLK started the season with a 1-0 win over Frederick Douglass.

Whitefish Bay rolled up 16 goals in three outings last week to stay perfect.

McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 4-0-0
McDonogh is off to 3-0 start in the highly competitive MIAA, but it's the team's lone non-league win that helped move this team up in the rankings. McDonogh won a 1-0, rain-interrupted contest over state-ranked DeMatha. McDonogh has yet to allow a goal this season.

Morton escape a major upset bid, edging Minooka in penalty kicks following a scoreless match in the opening round of the PepsiCo Showdown.

Senior Nick Denley scored five goals last week as McMinnville defeated Sunset and state-ranked South Eugene.

Rockhurst Jesuit Kansas City, MO 8-0-0
Rockhurst defeated Belton 4-0 to win the Blue Spring South Tournament, capping a three-win week. The Hawklets compete in the Top Dawg Tournament this week and the Jesuit Classic next week.

SLUH makes a major move in the rankings following a seven-day stretch where it defeated a Who's Who of Midwest soccer. In order, SLUH defeated St. Xavier (Ky.), Vianney, Christian Brothers and DeSmet -- all by multiple goals.

PND defeated Fremd (and St. Catharine's (Wis.) last weekend at the Hinsdale Central Soccer Invitational. The Irish has wins over teams from three states.

Billy Hency had two goals and three assists as Summit cruised past Poplar Bluffs 10-0 in the team's only match last week.

Dunbar edged Bryan Station 3-2 last week to remain undefeated. The Bulldogs' resume so far this season includes pinning the only losses on Evansville Memorial (Ind.) and Henry Clay.

Luke Rafanan and Aian Bates scored twice to lead Blue Valley Southwest to a 5-0 win over Gardner-Edgerton in the Olathe North tournament final.

Gavin Ford had a goal and one assist as Sallies opened the season with a 3-0 win over Walter Johnson (Md.), a team that finished in the SIMA FAB 50 last year.

Moeller defeated St Xavier 3-1 last week, reinforcing its ranking in the SIMA FAB 50. Although the state coaches have Moeller at No. 6, this team pinned the only loss on No. 3 Anderson and just defeated St. Xavier, the only team to beat state coaches No. 2 St. Ignatius.

Stillwater's win streak ended at 25, but its undefeated run was extended to 27 after a 1-0-1 showing against Wisconsin programs. The highlight for the Ponies was a 2-2 draw with Marquette (Wis.).

Marquette was held to a 2-2 draw by Stillwater (Minn.) in a mixer among the top teams in these neighboring states.
