FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The boys fall high school season includes the following states: Colorado, Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia (fall only), West Virginia, Wisconsin.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Sophomore standout Israel Neto scored all three goals -- each assisted by Ronald Mafunzwaini -- as St. Benedict's Prep defeated former FAB 50 No. 20 Christian Brothers 3-0.
2 (2) Naperville North Naperville, IL 10-0-0
Tommy Welch set a school career shutout record, and he now has 35, as Naperville North won three matches last week.
3 (3) Salesianum Wilmington, DE 2-0-0
Salesianum was idle last week.
4 (4) St. Ignatius Cleveland, OH 7-0-1
St. Ignatius posted a pair of seven-goal wins, and the team's 7-0 thrashing of St. Edward was highlighted by a Kyle Folds goal that made ESPN SportCenter's Top 10.
5 (5) St. Xavier Louisville, KY 13-0-1
St. Xavier capped a three-win week with a 3-2 decision over two-time Indiana Class 2A state champ Evansville Memorial. Memorial is 8-3 this year and that breaks down to 8-0 against Indiana teams, 0-3 against Kentucky teams.
6 (6) Blue Valley Southwest Overland Park, KS 2-0-0
Wisconsin-Green Bay commit Aidan Bates scored both goals in the team's 2-0 win over Blue Valley North.
7 (7) Libertyville Libertyville, IL 8-0-0
Michigan commit Evan Rasmussen had two hat tricks last week as Libertyville handled Cary-Grove and Warren Township.
8 (8) Martin Luther King Manhattan, NY 2-0-0
MLK edged Stuyvesant 2-1 last week. The Knights also scrimmaged an up-and-coming Prep School program, Putnam Science Academy. The match was halted early by the officials in what was a tie match at the time.
9 (9) Delbarton School Morristown, NJ 3-0-0
Five players scored as Delbarton cruised to a 5-0 win over Morristown.
10 (10) McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 3-0-0
Kyle Brown netted the game-winner in overtime, assisted by Penn State commit Andrew Privett, as McDonogh edged league rival Calvert Hall 1-0.
11 (11) Louisville Trinity Louisville, KY 10-0-0
Trinity netted 19 goals during three shutout wins last week. At this pace, Trinity and St. Xavier could carry undefeated records into their showdown later this month.
12 (12) Loyola Towson, MD 3-0-0
Loyola defeated Calvert Hall and edged Archbishop Curley last week. A clash with McDonogh was postponed due to weather.
13 (13) Peoria Notre Dame Peoria, IL 9-0-0
PND continues to roll through local competition, beating three teams by a combined 16-0 margin last week.
14 (14) Kearny Kearny, NJ 3-0-0
Rodrigo Varela was the team's offensive star, delivering a pair of two-goal games in Kearny wins over Dickinson and state- and regionally ranked Harrison.

Marquette handled Brookfield Central and Wauwatosa West by a combined 13-0 margin last week.

Joe Reed scored three goals as Chaminade posted 3-0 wins over Summit and Fort Zumwalt West.

Philip Burckhardt scored twice as Springside Chestnut Hill capped a three-win week with a 3-0 victory over Shipley School.

Vianney has posted eight straight shutouts to start the season, and the lone blemish was a 0-0 match with Christian Brothers. The result, however, was good enough to give Vianney the CBC Tournament title.

Christian Brothers went 1-0-2 at its tournament last week and settled for the runner-up finish to Vianney.

While much has been made of St. Francis de Sales' offense in recent years, this year's squad has yet to allow a goal. The team will clash with Martin Luther King (N.Y.) later this month in a key national rankings contest.

Trent Davis scored the lone goal as Haverford School edged two-time defending Class 4A public school champion Conestoga to highlight the Fords' play last week.

Wheaton Academy edged Solorio 3-2 in a clash of undefeated teams last week in the PepsiCo Showdown semifinals.
