The boys fall high school season includes the following states: Colorado, Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia (fall only), West Virginia, Wisconsin.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

SIMA FAB 50 FALL CO-CHAMPION with St. Ignatius.
Season Complete. New Jersey Prep A state champion.
School Facts: Private, all-boys, 550 students, grades K-12.
NOTES: Jamar Ricketts scored twice and Rhys Armstrong, Peter Yaro and Thiago Quintanhila added goals as St. Benedict's capped its third straight undefeated season with a 5-1 Prep A state final victory over Pennington School. The Gray Bees are riding a 57-match undefeated streak. This year's squad tied St. Ignatius (Ohio) on the road and posted the only defeats on the schedules of Top 25-ranked Salesianum (Del.) and Walt Whitman (Md.). Overall, St. Benedict's defeated six SIMA FAB 50 teams. This year's St. Benedict's squad was led by defender Cao Chaves as the Gray Bees outscored their opponents 89-6. Tony Yeboah, a junior, led the team in scoring with 14 goals. Zemi Rodriguez, also a junior, added 13 goals. Coach Jimmie Wandling has a 10-year coaching record of 186-8-4.

SIMA FAB 50 FALL CO-CHAMPION with St. Benedict's.
Season Complete. Ohio Division 1 state champion.
School Facts: Private, all-boys, 1,500 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Everett Shorey scored the first three goals as St. Ignatius claimed its ninth state title with a 4-0 victory over SIMA FAB 50-ranked Olentangy Liberty. The Wildcats dethroned defending state champion and SIMA FAB 50 Top 10-ranked Medina in the state semifinals, 3-0. St. Ignatius and St. Benedict's played to a 2-2 draw, leaving these powers as Co-No. 1s for the 2019 fall season. St. Ignatius had five wins over FAB 50-ranked teams, which included a 2-0 victory of Peoria Notre Dame (Ill.). Notre Dame commit Matthew McLaughlin and Indiana commit Kyle Folds were named to the Ohio Division I all-state team.
3 (3) Brentwood Brentwood, NY 22-0-0*
Season Complete. New York Class AA state champion.
School Facts: Public, 4,735 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Brandon Yanez, Alex Garcia, Sergio Ventura and Juan Gomez scored the goals as Brentwood rolled to a 4-0 state final victory over Fairport. In the 40th season with the program, coach Ron Eden dressed 40 players -- and all 40 got into Sunday's state final, which ended 4-0. Brentwood's run through the postseason also included a section title win over Top 25-ranked Commack and then state tournament wins over Massapequa and Ossining. Eden has been the head coach for 24 seasons and during that time Brentwood has made 10 state tournament appearances with four titles. Brentwood started No. 30 in the preseason SIMA FAB 50 but will end as the nation's top-ranked public school program.

Rockwood Summit Fenton, MO 29-0-1*
Season Complete. Missouri Class 3 state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,300 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Andrew Kogut converted a rebound from short distance, sending Summit to a 2-1 overtime victory over Platte County in the state final. Favored Summit trailed Platte County, which entered the match with a 26-1 record, until just under four minutes remaining in regulation. That's when Summit star Christian Kraus netted the game-tying goal, his 45th of the season. In the second overtime session, it was Kraus' shot that was saved by the keeper, but the rebound ended up on the foot of Kogut who scored into an empty net.

Zionsville Zionsville, IN 21-0-0*
Season Complete. Indiana Class 3A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,925 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Chris Freeman and Alex Carr scored only 34 seconds apart late in the second half and Ben Weidner added an insurance goal in the closing minutes as Zionsville rallied for a 3-1 state final victory over Lake Central. Zionsville becomes only the fourth team in Indiana boys soccer playoff-era history to post a perfect record. Weidner assisted on Carr's game-winner. The Eagles, last year's state runner-up, started the season ranked No. 12 in the Mid-East regional rankings.

Medina Medina, OH 20-1-1*
Season Complete. Ohio Division 1 state semifinalist.
School Facts: Public, 2,500 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Medina's 32-match undefeated streak ended with a 3-0 loss to St. Ignatius in the state semifinals. The Bees are 38-2-5 over the last two seasons. The lone blemish on Medina's record prior to a state semifinal loss was a tie with Prep Top 10-ranked Northwood School (N.Y.). Medina was perfect against all other Ohio competition, led by senior Parker Csiszar, who was named the Ohio Division I Player of the Year. Goalkeeper Jake Vogrin was named second-team all-state. Medina started the season ranked No. 7 in the SIMA FAB 50 in July.

Forest Hills Northern Grand Rapids, MI 23-0-1*
Season Complete. Michigan Division 2 state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,125 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Aidan O'Connor, last year's Gatorade State Player of the Year for Michigan, and Ludwig Tilly scored the goals to carry Forest Hills Northern to a 2-0 state final victory over Melvindale. The Huskies, which started the season ranked No. 29 in the SIMA FAB 50, tied their first match of the season and then rolled off 23 straight wins to finish among the nation's elite. The title was a bit of revenge for Forest Hills Northern, which lost in last year's final to end the season at 23-1-1.

North Penn Lansdale, PA 25-1-0*
Season Complete. Pennsylvania Class 4A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 3,150 students, grades 10-12.
NOTES: Lafayette commit Carter Houlihan scored both goals as North Penn capped a stellar season with a 2-0 state final win over Central Bucks West. During its 26-game schedule, North Penn avenged its only loss, won the highly competitive District 1-4A and then state tournaments -- a playoff run of eight matches. North Penn started No. 42 in the SIMA FAB 50 preseason rankings. Central Bucks West, the state runner-up, started No. 20.

Walt Whitman Bethesda, MD 17-1-1*
Season Complete. Maryland Class 4A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,050 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Hunter Lee, Aaron Gunther and Ian Poe scored the goals as Walt Whitman handled Leonardtown 3-1 in a state final. The win marked Whitman's second straight state title, second straight SIMA FAB 50 Top 20 finish. Whitman has won 11 state titles, seven under coach Dave Greene. The past two seasons, Whitman's only losses have been to SIMA FAB 50 national No. 1 St. Benedict's Prep (N.J.). The Vikings move ahead of fellow regional power Salesianum (Del.). The teams had two common opponents -- both losing one-goal matches to St. Benedict's and both beating Walter Johnson. Whitman handled Walter Johnson 5-0, while Salesianum defeated Walter Johnson 3-1. Whitman started No. 34 in the preseason SIMA FAB 50.

Season Complete. Delaware Class AA state champion.
School Facts: Private, all-boys, 1,110 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: For the second straight year, New Hampshire commit Andrew Blackwell delivered in the state final. This year, he and Ethan Hinds each scored three goals as Salesianum rolled over Caesar Rodney 7-0. Sallies simply dominates Delaware, so it's the team's out-of-state matches that provide it national measure. This year's team lost only to top-ranked St. Benedict's (N.J.). Salesianum started No. 41 in the SIMA FAB 50 preseason rankings.

Edina Edina, MN 22-0-0*
Season Complete. Minnesota Class AA state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,050 students, grades 10-12.
NOTES: Oscar Smythe scored both goals as Edina capped a perfect season with a 2-1 win over East Ridge in the state final. The win marked Edina's first state title since rolling off three in a row from 1999-2001.

Olathe West Olathe, KS 20-1-0*
Season Complete. Kansas Class 6A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,350 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Olathe West opened in the fall of 2017 and two years later the school has its first state title. Led by Liberty commit Jonathan Munoz, Olathe West defeated Blue Valley West 2-1 in the state final. Henry Curnow scored Olathe West's first goal and Munoz gave the team a 2-0 lead. BVW converted a late penalty kick for the final margin. The result also atoned for the team's lone blemish, a shootout loss to Blue Valley West during the opening week of the season. Olathe West ended the season with an 18-match win streak.

Clifton Clifton, NJ 21-0-1*
Season Complete. New Jersey Group 4 state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,875 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Goalkeeper Eryk Dymora made two saves in the penalty kick shootout and converted both of his chances in do-or-die situations that led Clifton to a sudden death PK victory over Huntington Central in the state final. The match ended in a scoreless draw. Jason Suarez ultimately converted the match-winning penalty kick.

Seton Hall Prep West Orange, NJ 22-1-1*
Season Complete. New Jersey Non-Public A state champion.
School Facts: Private, all-boys, 950 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Junior forward Lucas Ross headed in a Sal Vito service with 9:26 left in the second overtime to lift Seton Hall Prep to a 1-0 state final victory over St. Augustine. It was Ross' 25th goal of the season. Junior keeper Tomas Hut had four saves to record the team's 20th clean sheet of the season. Seton Hall Prep started the season ranked No. 8 in the preseason SIMA FAB 50.

Albuquerque Albuquerque, NM 21-0-0*
Season Complete. New Mexico Class 5A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,800 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Sophomore standout Christian Nava, who is barely 5-foot tall, scored a pair of second-half goals only two minutes apart as Albuquerque completed the first perfect since in New Mexico since 2005 with a 2-0 state final win over Hobbs. Nava finished with more than 30 goals.

Bishop Gorman Las Vegas, NV 26-0-1*
Season Complete. Nevada Division I state champion.
School Facts: Private, 1,450 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Cole Malm scored the lone goal as Bishop Gorman defeated Eldorado 1-0 in the state final. The win marked Bishop Gorman's sixth state title, but first since 2012. Malm's goal was set up by an assist from Santa Clara commit Caden Buckley.

West Chicago West Chicago, IL 24-2-3*
Season Complete. Illinois Class 3A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,050 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Moises Morfin and Jahir Martinez scored late second-half goals as West Chicago stunned Morton 2-0 in the state final, capping an amazing turnaround for this program. West Chicago hadn't had a winning record since 2012 and last year's team was 8-11-5. The return of a couple club players helped, but few could imagine a state title for this program. After all, this is West Chicago's first state title in ANY sport since 1974. Defender Ben Suddeth was named to the Illinois Coaches All-State team.

Benet Academy Lisle, IL 21-1-2*
Season Complete. Illinois Class 2A state champion.
School Facts: Private, 1,300 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Sam Hepburn and Hans Haenicke scored the goals, both assisted by TJ McVey, as Benet Academy defeated defending state champion Crystal Lake South 2-0 in the state final. Defense was the key for Benet, which did not allow a goal in seven playoff matches. In fact, Benet allowed only four goals all season. Benet and 3A champ West Chicago played to a scoreless draw during the regular season. Midfielder Nick Renfro was named to the Illinois Coaches All-State team.

Peoria Notre Dame Peoria, IL 22-2-0*
Season Complete. Illinois Class 2A Super-Sectional runner-up.
School Facts: Private, 800 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Peoria Notre Dame's stellar season ended with a 2-0 loss to Benet Academy in the Super-Sectional round, which serves as the state quarterfinals. Benet Academy went on to win the 2A state title. The only losses by the Irish this season were to eventual state champions St. Ignatius (Ohio) and Benet Academy. PND had wins over SIMA FAB 50-ranked Fremd and Libertyville. The team was led by senior standouts Marquette commit Noah Madrigal, Myles Sophanavong, DePaul commit McKay LaHood and goalkeeper Lucas Fontana. PND started the season ranked No. 5 in the preseason SIMA FAB 50.

Season Complete. Michigan Division 1 state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,700 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Sophomore Ryan Gruca scored twice in overtime as Troy Athens netted three goals in a four-minute span to take a 4-1 state title victory over Traverse City West. The win marked the first state title for Troy Athens since 1997 and delivered on a promise of a great season. The Redhawks went 21-1 last year and was upset in the playoffs. This year's team started the season No. 15 in the SIMA FAB 50 in July and ended it ranked among the nation's elite.

Season Complete. New York Class AA Suffolk runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 2,250 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Justin Galluzzo scored both goals as Coomack and Brentwood played to a 2-2 match, but Brentwood prevailed in penalty kicks, thus ending Commack's season. Commack had quality wins over Smithtown East and three wins over perennial league frontrunner Walt Whitman. Commack was No. 46 in the SIMA FAB 50 preseason rankings.

Longmeadow Longmeadow, MA 21-0-1*
Season Complete. Massachusetts Division 1 state champion.
School Facts: Public, 950 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Andrew Healy and Andrew Ortiz scored the goals as senior-heavy Longmeadow captured its first state title with a 2-0 win over Needham. Longmeadow had 16 seniors on this year's team, a group that seemed to be set up for this type of finish. Two years ago Longmeadow lost in the state final after holding a two-goal lead. Last year, the team lost in the Western Mass Division 1 final to Ludlow, which went on to win the state title. This year, Longmeadow defeated Ludlow on the way to a Western Mass Division 1 title and a state title.
23 (23) Verona Verona, WI 21-1-2*
Season Complete. Wisconsin Division 1 state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,500 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Eliot Popkewitz scored in the first half and Jonathan Gamez added the clincher in the closing minutes as Verona defeated SIMA FAB 50-ranked Neenah in the state final. The victory marks the first state title for Verona's soccer program.
24 DeSmet St. Louis, MO 19-4-1*
Season Complete. Missouri Class 4 state champion.
School Facts: Private, 750 students, all-boys, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Henry Lawlor converted his penalty kick and then teammate and goalkeeper Connor Mulvaney came up with a game-winning save as DeSmet captured the Class 4 state title after a dramatic 13-round shootout. DeSmet won 11-10 in kicks from the spot following a scoreless match. The shootout was 4-4 after five rounds. The teams matched each other kick for kick for seven rounds before Mulvaney's save won the match. DeSmet started the season ranked No. 36 in the preseason SIMA FAB 50.

Lee's Summit Lee's Summit, MO 22-1-0*
Season Complete. Missouri Class 4 state runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 1,800 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Lee's Summit suffered a heartbreaking end to an otherwise perfect season, falling to DeSmet Jesuit in the Missouri Class 4 state final that went 13 rounds of penalty kicks following a scoreless match. Lee's Summit was No. 13 in the SIMA FAB 50 preseason rankings.
