Creighton Prep is proving the opening day shootout loss was quite a fluke as the Junior Jays have returned to the top of the state rankings. Over the weekend, six players scored goals as Creighton Prep routed defending state champ West Des Moines Valley (Iowa) 7-2.

Balton routed Creekview 7-1 and Sprayberry 10-0 last week to prep for this week's clash with Baylor School. Baylor has a win over the team that defeated Dalton, hence the higher ranking for now.

It's not too often a high school soccer match gets a military fly-over, but it happened for the McIntosh-Starr's Mill Battle of the Troops match last week, won by McIntosh 6-2. Here's a short video.

Archbishop Murphy's offensive prowess was highlighted in the preseason by the Seattle Times, but its defense has been winning the day. Murphy has a pair of 1-0 victories this season and has allowed only one goal to date.
24 Har-Ber Springdale, AR 9-1-1
Har-Ber defeated Broken Arrow (Okla.) 3-0 to win the Bishop Kelley Invitational in Oklahoma, and in doing so reshaped the South-Central region rankings. For the first time ever, Arkansas has three teams in the SIMA FAB 50 after a strong group showing against rival Oklahoma programs.
