NOTES: Charlie Marino's second-half goal carried Wando to a 1-0 win over J.L. Mann in the state final. The Warriors ended the year with an 11-match shutout streak. Marino, a junior soon to commit to a Division I program, was one of three Wando players on the Class AAAAA all-state team, joining Zach Aversano and Andrew Pickhardt. Seven of the nine seniors have committed to college programs, three to NCAA Division I teams. En route to a perfect season, Wando defeated teams from three states and Puerto Rico. Coach Shilo Tisdale has a career record of 270-31-2. |

The goal was Jessen's 30th of the season. Station Camp's undefeated season included wins over Division II-AA state semifinalist Christian Brothers, along with region and nationally ranked Collierville, Science Hill and Houston. Station Camp played South Carolina Class AAAAA runner-up J.L. Mann to a 2-2 draw in a match Station Camp led 2-0. |

Berea averaged nearly seven goals a match in a season where it overwhelmed its opponents, yet needed to survive to overtime contests in the playoffs. |

NOTES: McCallie ended the MBA curse, beating Montgomery Bell Academy 3-2 in the state final as Northwestern signee Drew Viscomi had a goal and one assist. MBA ousted McCallie from the playoffs the past four years -- the last years in the state semifinals. Noah Tremain scored first for the Big Blue, which secured its first title since 1999, and William Hart pushed the lead to 3-1 in the second half. MBA scored with a minute left for the final margin. McCallie's lone setback was to Oak Mountain (Ala.), yet the team posted a number of quality wins, such as 7-0 over Fort Payne (Ala.), which defeated Top 25-ranked Dalton (Ga.), Boyd-Buchanan, Baylor School and Christian Brothers. McCallie also tied winter power Coppell (Texas) in a rare clash of spring and winter programs. |
