NOTES: Sophomore Christian Sosa converted the deciding penalty kick as Jenks edged rival Tulsa Union in a shootout following a 1-1 match. The shootout went 11 rounds between these state powers, which were meeting in the state final for the second straight season. The win gave Jenks its first state title since 2006. Andres Quintero scored Jenks' regulation goal, which at the time tied the match at 1. Jenks had key victories over Union and Oklahoma 5A state champion Bishop Kelley during the regular season. Jenks also won the Southern Soccer Challenge in Alabama, beating Randolph (Ala.), Independence (Tenn.) and Grissom (Ala.).

Junior Edi Cokovic scored a pair of goals as Waukee survived a close call in a 3-2 win over Marshalltown. The Warriors also pinned a 3-0 defeat on Southeast Polk as Will King, a sophomore, had a goal and one assist.

William & Mary commit Michael Meese, a junior, scored three goals as Jamestown rolled to a 4-1 win over Warhill in its only contest last week.

Westminster routed Islands 6-1 to advance to this week's state semifinals, ending Islands' undefeated season.

In what was supposed to be an epic Georgia 7A clash turned into a one-sided affair as Lambert used three goals in a five-minute span early in the second half to eliminate FAB 50-ranked Hillgrove 5-0. Hayden Fontana scored three goals in the Longhorns' victory.

A pair of postseason wins last week leaves Evangelical Christian as a favorite in the Division II-A title chase in field that also includes regionally ranked Christ Presbyterian and always-dangerous Lausanne Collegiate, Boyd-Buchanan and Battle Ground Academy.

NOTES: The FAB 50 preseason No. 1 team again will finish among the nation's elite following a third straight state title. Bennett Schillp scored with 11 seconds left in the third overtime session, lifting Wando to a 1-0 victory over J.L. Mann. For coach Shilo Tisdale, he has five state titles in 13 years as head coach and now sports a career record of 325-33-3.

Creighton Prep Omaha, NE 19-2-0
Creighton Prep handled Papillion-La Vista 3-0 to set up a state final showdown with rival Omaha South. The final was set for Monday night and will be reflected in next week's FAB 50, which runs through Sunday's events. Papillion-La Vista had stunned defending champ Kearney in the state quarterfinals. Creighton Prep had no trouble, though, getting goals from three players in the win.

Omaha South, which split its meetings with Creighton Prep during the season, will get a third matchup of these state powers as the Packers advanced to the state final following a 4-0 win over Gretna. Luka Nedic scored a pair of goals.

The defending 2A state champions roll into the state tournament following a pair of comfortable district tourney wins last week. Columbia River topped Centralia 4-1 and Woodland 3-0.

Carter Berg scored twice in South Lakes' 4-2 win over Yorktown in the team's only outing last week.

Lakeside and Roosevelt tied their regular-season meeting, a result that gave Roosevelt the league title. In the playoff seeding match, however, Lakeside won the contest 1-0 last week to stay undefeated and enter this week's 3A state tournament as the favorite.

NOTES: Union pushed Jenks to the 11th round of the shootout before falling in the state final, ending a bid to repeat as state champs. Rylan Franca scored to give Union the lead with 11 minutes remaining, but Jenks rallied to force OT. Union's three defeats were to Jenks (twice) and in the Southern Coast Cup to Christian Brothers (Tenn.), a result that was never reported in Oklahoma.

NOTES: J.L. Mann's state title bid ended in a 1-0 loss to Wando in triple overtime in the final. J.L. Mann had regular season losses to Clover and Wade Hampton. The Patriots avenged the loss to Wade Hampton later in the season, then defeated Clover 1-0 in the state semifinals to reach the final with Wando.

NOTES: A junior-loaded lineup carried Clover to a 26-win season before falling to J.L. Mann in the state semifinals. Clover had defeated J.L. Mann during the regular season. The Blue Eagles' other loss was in a shootout in the Palmetto Cup final. Ethan Stevenson, a junior, led the team in goals scored.
