The winter high school season includes the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Season Complete. Montverde Academy Soccer Tournament champion.
School Facts: Private, 750 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Montverde Academy capped a seventh straight undefeated season with a 4-1 victory over Paramount (Calif.) in the MAST final. The program is now riding a 157-match undefeated streak, dating to November 2010. This year's team was led by forward Kizza Edward, who was named MAST MVP after scoring at least one goal in each of the team's three MAST victories. The Eagles defeated Watsonville (Calif.) and St. Paul's (La.) to reach the final. The team was ahead 3-0 within 15 minutes of every MAST match. Joao Lucas Santos and Ohio State signee Josh Jackson made the all-tournament team. Virginia-bound keeper Connor Jones was named Most Outstanding Keeper.

Freshman Mayno Linares scored three goals in Elsik's 9-1 over Pearland Dawson. Saul Amaya and Brandon Martinez scored the goals in Elsik's win over George Ranch.

Trey Marchino scored three goals last week, including both tallies in a 2-1 decision over Plano.

Despite a league loss last week, Godinez remains the top-ranked team in the OCVarsity Top 10, ahead of Santiago, Servite and Santa Margarita -- all teams ranked among the Top 30.

South Torrance finished regular season play with wins over Centennial (5-0) and Torrance North (6-0) last week.

Cathedral finished regular-season play with a 5-0 win over Bishop Montgomery. The Phantoms carry a nine-match win streak into the CIF-Southern Section playoffs.

Alisal, usually strong defensively, gave up a pair of second-half goals, yet held on for a 3-2 wi over Everett Alvarez, a team that spent some time in the SIMA FAB 50 Top 25 early in the season.

New Mexico signee Nick Taylor scored three goals last week as Coppell defeated Berkner and Skyline.

Alec Hooper had a goal in each outing as Redlands East Valley defeated Cajon and Citrus Valley last week to close out an undefeated regular season.

Angel Cueva scored twice as Strake Jesuit defeated former regionally ranked Mayde Creek. The Crusaders then drew even with Cinco Ranch in the district standings with a 3-0 win over Katy, the team's eighth shutout of the season.

League rivals Cinco Ranch and Strake Jesuit swap places following Cinco's 1-0-1 win. The Cougars defeated regionally ranked Seven Lakes 2-1 but ere held to a 1-1 draw by Morton Ranch.

Santa Barbara Santa Barbara, CA 19-1-5
Santa Barbara carries a 14-match undefeated streak into the CIF-Southern Section playoffs, which start this week. The Dons capped an undefeated run through league play with a 2-0 victory over Ventura. Brian De La Luz and Juan Carlos Torres scored the goals.

Following a tie with Marcus, Carroll rolled up a 7-0 victory over Byron Nelson, led by Calvin Herd's three-goal outing.

Eric Mattice scored a second-half goal to lift Folsom to a 1-0 decision over Woodcreek to cap a two-win week and keep the Bulldogs perfect.

Derek Notardonato and Rob Macy scored the goals as Merritt Island defeated regionally ranked Immokalee 2-0 in the Class 3A state semifinals. The Mustangs will meet SIMA FAB 50 No. 33 and undefeated Daytona Seabreeze in the final.

Pleasant Valley closed out a perfect regular season with a 3-0 win over Red Bluff. The team is the No. 1 seed in the CIF-North Section Division I playoffs.

Jessy Sotelo and Juan Vargas scored the goals as Santiago defeated Bolsa Grande 2-0 last week to close out an undefeated Garden Grove League showing for the Cavaliers. Santiago's lone loss was a 2-1 setback to Godinez two months ago.

Paramount is 13-1-1 in its last 15 matches, which includes a win over The Woodlands (Texas) and a loss to top-ranked Montverde Academy (Fla.).

Oak Ridge scored a minute into the match, and the game was tied at 2 at halftime before The Woodlands broke out a four-goal second-half for a 6-2 victory. The result keeps The Woodlands perfect against Texas opponents.

Arturo Molina's second-half goal pulled Servite into a 1-1 tie with Santa Margarita, and that was enough for the Friars to clinch the Trinity League title.

Mission Hills, a team Oceanside beat two weeks ago, handed the Pirates a league setback last week, ending the team's 10-match undefeated streak. Oceanside remains comfortably in the first place in the Avocado East standings with two matches remaining.

NOTES: Defender Sumner Richardson had a goal and one assist as Northwest Rankin defeated Ocean Springs 2-0 in the state final. The result ended a four-year title run by Madison Central. Northwest Rankin's key win this year was a 2-0 decision over St. Paul's (La.). Interestingly, Northwest Rankin was outshot both in the win over St. Paul's and the in the state final, yet produced where it mattered most - on the scoreboard. The team was led by UAB commit Chandler Shirley.
