The winter high school season includes the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Season Complete. Montverde Academy Soccer Tournament champion.
School Facts: Private, 750 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Montverde Academy capped a seventh straight undefeated season with a 4-1 victory over Paramount (Calif.) in the MAST final. The program is now riding a 157-match undefeated streak, dating to November 2010. This year's team was led by forward Kizza Edward, who was named MAST MVP after scoring at least one goal in each of the team's three MAST victories. The Eagles defeated Watsonville (Calif.) and St. Paul's (La.) to reach the final. The team was ahead 3-0 within 15 minutes of every MAST match. Joao Lucas Santos and Ohio State signee Josh Jackson made the all-tournament team. Virginia-bound keeper Connor Jones was named Most Outstanding Keeper.

Godinez was idle last week as rain forced the postponement of several CIF Southern Section playoff contests.

South Torrance was idle last week when its playoff match was postponed due to heavy rain in Southern California.

Strake Jesuit Houston, TX 11-0-3
Seniors Jared Rice and Chris Sammour scored late second-half goals as Strake Jesuit broke out of a 1-1 tie with Cinco Ranch for a 3-1 victory last week. The result puts the Crusaders in first place in the district.

McKinney Boyd McKinney, TX 9-0-6
Boyd is the last undefeated team in District 6-6A, but a tie with Allen last week caused the Broncos to slide behind Strake Jesuit in the state rankings and SIMA FAB 50.

Cathedral's opening round playoff match was postponed until Monday, one of many CIF Southern Section contests that did not get played due to heavy rain in Southern California late last week.

It's no surprise that Alisal received the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CIF Central Coast Open Division playoffs. The first-round opponent, however, is no slouch. Monterey enters the quarterfinal round clash with Alisal with a 14-1-2 record.

Redlands East Valley Redlands, CA 20-0-1
While many playoff games in the CIF Southern Section were postponed, Redlands East Valley was able to get in its first-round match -- a 3-0 victory over Centennial.

Santa Barbara Santa Barbara, CA 20-1-5
Juan Carlos Torres and Luis Alfaro scored the goals as Santa Barbara rallied for a 2-1 playoff win over Century last week.

Eric Mattice scored both goals as Folsom closed out a perfect regular season with a 2-0 win over Granite Bay.

School Facts: Public, 4,400 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: David Corredor scored an early goal and it was enough to carry Cypress Bay to a 1-0 victory over Lakewood Ranch in the state final. Keeper Sebastian Deckers finished with five saves. The title marked the fifth in the past seven seasons for Cypress Bay, but this one was a more emotional victory for the Lightning, who had dedicated the season to a former teammate who died in a skateboarding accident in September.

North Shore, with wins over teams from Brownsville, Austin and Houston -- three of the state's stronger areas, continues to climb in the Top 25. Last week, North Shore completed a perfect run through first rotation of league play with a 3-1 victory over Goose Creek Memorial and 5-1 over Summer Creek.

Sam Houston is making it look easy right now in district play. The Texans have scored four or more goals in six of its last seven outings.
18 Duncanville Duncanville, TX 11-1-1
Duncanville defeated Grand Prairie 2-0 last week to highlight a two-win week and move the squad to the top of the district standings. The teams are scheduled to meet against March 10.

Coronado Coronado, CA 15-1-5
Coronado, which defeated Scripps Ranch and tied St. Augustin last week, earned the No. 2 seed for this week's CIF San Diego Open playoffs. The Islanders start postseason play against Poway.

Grand Prairie was bumped from the ranks of the undefeated, losing to No. 19 Duncanville 2-0 last week in the first of two regular-season meetings between these teams.

On Senior Night, Elsik might have gone to the bench too early. The team held a 2-0 lead before losing a 3-2 contest to regionally ranked Brazoswood. Despite the setback, Elsik remains in first place in the district.

In the battle of undefeated state title contenders, Cinco Ranch gave up two goal late in a 3-1 setback to Strake Jesuit.

School Facts: Public, 1,450 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Defender Sumner Richardson had a goal and one assist as Northwest Rankin defeated Ocean Springs 2-0 in the state final. The result ended a four-year title run by Madison Central. Northwest Rankin's key win this year was a 2-0 decision over St. Paul's (La.). Interestingly, Northwest Rankin was outshot both in the win over St. Paul's and the in the state final, yet produced where it mattered most - on the scoreboard. The team was led by UAB commit Chandler Shirley.

After a 1-2 start to the season, the Rangers have put together a 10-match undefeated streak, highlighted by a 1-0 win over Coppell last week. The victory sends Jesuit to the top of the District 9-6A standings.
