NOTES: Montverde Academy capped a seventh straight undefeated season with a 4-1 victory over Paramount (Calif.) in the MAST final. The program is now riding a 157-match undefeated streak, dating to November 2010. This year's team was led by forward Kizza Edward, who was named MAST MVP after scoring at least one goal in each of the team's three MAST victories. The Eagles defeated Watsonville (Calif.) and St. Paul's (La.) to reach the final. The team was ahead 3-0 within 15 minutes of every MAST match. Joao Lucas Santos and Josh Jackson made the all-tournament team. Virginia-bound keeper Connor Jones was named Most Outstanding Keeper. |
