This year, Montverde Academy fielded four unique varsity lineups, rolling out teams based on the competition. The SIMA Red, juniors and seniors, rolled to lopsided wins over Leon (7-1) and Merritt Island (6-1) and featured Pitt signees Facundo Costantini, Jackson Walti and Rodrigo Almeida and Butler signee Gabriel Gjergji, among 17 senior signees and counting. |

NOTES: Senior Jose Umana converted a penalty kick in the 12th minute and senior goalkeeper Eliaz Zamora, the game's MVP, made it stand as Elsik completed an undefeated season with a 1-0 win over Reagan in the state final. The result earns Elsik the title of top public school team in the nation for the winter season. In addition to Zamora and Umana, Edgar Renteria and Mayno Linares -- both sophomores -- made the all-tournament team. Linares netted all three goals in the team's 3-1 state semifinal win over Irving. |

St. Ignatius defeated three FAB 50-ranked teams in the NorCal championships. |

The Bulldogs went undefeated last year before having to forfeit a playoff win. This year's team won the section title and was led offensively by Kevin Grewal, who finished with 29 goals. |

Aidan Cuevas netted the game-winner for Loyola in what proved to be a validation event for the Southern Section. All four SoCal Regional semifinalists were the same four teams that reached the Southern Section semifinals one week earlier -- as they eliminated all challengers from the Central, Los Angeles and San Diego sections. |

NOTES: Despite applying a lot of pressure on goal, especially late playing with a man advantage for the final 28 minutes, Reagan could not get the tying goal in a 1-0 state final setback to Alief Elsik. In the semifinals, Reagan rallied for a 3-1 victory over Coppell, a team that took No. 11 Brophy Prep (Ariz.) to a shootout early in the season. Santi De La Torre scored twice for the Rattlers in the win over Coppell. Reagan lost early to Lake Travis, then avenged that defeat in the playoffs. De La Torre, Jacob Galan and Michael Morrell were named to the all-tournament team. |

Parker Lischwe, Jayden Bourg and Max Wennes scored second-half goals to deliver a title for a Thunder team that played most of the season under an interim head coach. Of the team's four losses, two were to Brophy and one to Los Angeles Cathedral (Calif.). Desert Vista put together an 11-game win streak to end the season, which included a state semifinal win over then undefeated Chandler. |

En route to the state semifinals, Irving stunned Trinity, Grand Prairie, Montwood and Boyd -- all teams that were ranked higher in the regional rankings at the time of the match. Anderson and Luiz Morales were named to the all-tournament team. |
