The winter high school season includes the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

School Facts: Private, 1,200 students, grades K-12.
NOTES: Montverde Academy closed out an eighth straight undefeated season with three victories in the final week. The Eagles are riding a national record 174-match undefeated streak. This year, Montverde Academy fielded four unique varsity lineups, rolling out teams based on the competition. The SIMA Red, juniors and seniors, rolled to lopsided wins over Leon (7-1) and Merritt Island (6-1) and featured Pitt commits Facundo Costantini and Rodrigo Almeida and Butler commit Gabriel Gjergji.

Mayno Linares, Layee Kromah and Bryan Nunez scored the goals as Alief Elsik defeated Alief Taylor 3-0 in the team's only match last week.

McKinney Boyd McKinney, TX 14-0-3
Evan Conner netted the game-winning goal 1:12 into stoppage time as McKinney Boyd edged Plano East to cap a two-win week over Plano schools.

Torrey Pines San Diego, CA 21-0-4
Santiago Majewski assisted the first goal and then scored the second to spark Torrey Pines' 3-1 come-from-behind victory over Eastlake in the CIF-San Diego Open quarterfinals. Denzel Sepeda scored the first and third goals for the Falcons.

Folsom Folsom, CA 20-0-4
Matt Murray and Abraham Iniquez scored the goals as Folsom advanced to the section semifinals with a 2-0 win over Sheldon. In the quarterfinals, Kevin Grewal scored three goals in the team's 6-1 victory over Franklin.

San Marcos San Marcos, CA 20-1-4
Bennet Chergosky scored the lone goal as San Marcos posted a 1-0 win over San Pasqual to advance to this week's CIF-San Diego Open semifinals. The Knights now are riding a 23-match undefeated streak.

Santa Barbara Santa Barbara, CA 17-1-2
Juan Carlos Torres scored the first goal then netted the game-winning score as Santa Barbara defeated Capistrano Valley 3-1 to advance to this week's CIF-Southern Section Division 1 semifinals. The Dons will square off with Loyola, which it defeated early in the season.

Nomar Ibarra had a goal and one assist as Cathedral defeated Redlands East Valley 3-0 in the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 quarterfinals. The Phantoms next face San Clemente in the semifinals.

Loyola Los Angeles, CA 20-2-7
Alidan Cuevas converted a PK and a minute later SMU commit Henry Smith-Hastie added a goal as Loyola defeated Downey 2-0 in the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 quarterfinals.

Season Complete. Arizona Class 6A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 3,050 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: After twice losing to Brophy Prep during the season, Desert Vista pulled off a state final stunner with a 3-0 victory. Parker Lischwe, Jayden Bourg and Max Wennes scored second-half goals to deliver a title for a Thunder team that played most of the season under an interim head coach. Of the team's four losses, two were to Brophy and one to Los Angeles Cathedral (Calif.). Desert Vista put together an 11-game win streak to end the season, which included a state semifinal win over then undefeated Chandler.

Season Complete. Arizona Class 6A state runner-up.
School Facts: Private, all-boys, 1,200 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Brophy's bid to finish No. 1 in the FAB 50 was foiled in a state final loss to Desert Vista. Brophy's stellar season included tournament titles at the Arizona Showcase and the North Texas Elite Showcase. The team was led offensively by UC Santa Barbara signee Carter Clemmensen, who topped 40 goals this season.

School Facts: Public, 3,200 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Chandler lost to eventual state champion Desert Vista in a state semifinals. The Wolves played Brophy Prep to a draw during the regular season. The team was led offensive by Jesus Garza, who finished with 20 goals and 12 assists.

Pedro Palmaka and Darious Abdollahi scored the goals as University rallied for a 2-1 win over Artesia to advance to this week's CIF-Southern Section Division 3 semifinals.

Alisal Salinas, CA 16-1-4
Carlos Pacheco saved Alisal's season by converting a penalty kick in the closing minute to regulation to tie the match at 1, then Abraham Montano and Angel Amezcua added OT goals as the Trojans rallied past Los Altos 3-1. The result sends Alisal into the CIF-Central Coast Section Open semifinals.

St. Ignatius handled Overfelt 3-0 in the CIF-Central Coast Section Open quarterfinals. The win sends the Wildcats into a semifinal clash with undefeated Los Gatos.

Gilberto Lopez scored five goals as Galt opened postseason play with a 7-2 win over Lindhurst.

Valley View remained perfect with a shootout win over Sharyland following a 1-1 match. Valley View has netted more than 100 goals already this season.

Season Complete. Florida 3A state champion.
School Facts: Private, 2,800 students, grades PK-12.
NOTES: Sebastian Vidarte's last-second shot deflected off a defender and into the goal for the winning score as American Heritage defeated defending state champion Daytona Seabreeze 1-0 with 4 seconds remaining in double overtime. The title marked the sixth for the program, but first since 2012.
19 Frisco Centennial Frisco, TX 12-0-3
Dan Chandler and Midwestern State commit Garrett Baughman scored the goals to spark Centennial's 2-1 win over Wakeland last week. The team followed up that result with a 3-0 victory over Independence, led by Ethan Unger's two goals.
20 JJ Pearce Richardson, TX 16-0-4
A bit overlooked nationally until now, Pearce carries an undefeated record into a showdown with Coppell this week.

North Shore Houston, TX 15-1-2
North Shore was stunned by Goose Creek Memorial 1-0 last week, but bounced back with a 7-1 win over Summer Creek.
22 El Camino Real Woodland Hills, CA 22-2-2
Sophomore Matheus Caserta had a goal and one assist to pace El Camino Real to a 3-1 win over Palisades to start CIF-LA City Section tournament play.

San Clemente San Clemente, CA 17-5-5
San Clemente used a long throw-in from Hunter Van Cleave to spring Liam Linas for the lone goal as the Tritons knocked off Warren 1-0 in the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 quarterfinals. San Clemente next faces Los Angeles Cathedral.

De La Salle Concord, CA 17-2-7
Luke Guisto scored the first two goals and assisted the other goal as De La Salle defeated league rival Monte Vista 3-1 in the CIF-North Coast Section Division 1 final. The Spartans advance to the NorCal Regional Championships next week.
25 Montgomery Santa Rosa, CA 21-2-1
Carson Wyatt's header gave Montgomery a 2-1 victory over Richmond in the CIF-North Coast Section Division 2 final. The Vikings will advance to next week's NorCal Regional Championships. The victory marked a second straight section title for Montgomery, which recently moved from the fall to winter soccer.

High School Rankings HQ
