Flower Mound inches to the top of the FAB 50 after all preseason favorites have taken at least one loss. The Jaguars edged Euless Trinity 2-1 in their only match last week, and has a long way to go before thinking of holding on to the No. 1 ranking. The regular season schedule features four matches yet to be played against FAB 50 opponents.

Southlake Carroll Southlake, TX 8-0-0
Southlake Carroll defeated Colleyville Heritage 2-0 in its only outing last week. The Dragons have allowed only two goals this season and. like Flower Mound, has a long way to go as the Texas season is just getting started.

Episcopal rolled to a pair of SPC wins last week. The luster of a win over Central Catholic has been tarnished a bit as Central Catholic has failed to win a match since winning the North Texas Elite Showcase the first week in January.

Montverde Academy took a break from high school play to compete in the club-based MAST last week. Montverde Academy's U17 team took second to Vaughan (Canada) while its U19 placed third, beating 2SV (Brazil) in the consolation match.

Fabian Mendoza scored twice as Sunnyside edged Cienega 3-2 last week. The Blue C=Devils also handled Pueblo earlier in the week as Manuel Quiroz netted four goals.

Underclassmen Eric Arreola and Spencer Roberts netted the goals to lift Loyola to a 2-0 win over Crespi, a team it tied a week earlier. The win, coupled with a loss by San Luis Obispo, returns the Cubs to No. 1 in the state rankings.

As one of the few remaining undefeated teams in California, Mira Costa makes a jump up in the FAB 50 this week. Josh Gaudiano had two goals and an assist to pace the offense in a pair of wins last week.

Bellarmine bounced back from a tie with league second-place St. Ignatius with wins over Valley Christian and Archbishop Riordan to take complete control of the WCAL race.

San Luis Obispo was upset by league rival Santa Maria last week in a week where Santa Maria, which joined the FAB 50, also took a loss in league play. The title title likely will come down to the rematch between these teams on the final night of regular season play, Feb. 5.

Cathedral tied rival Salesian 1-1 last week on a goal by Alejandro Lugo. The Phantoms recovered from that result with a 4-0 win over La Salle as Joseph Parra led the way with a goal and two assists.

Monarch scored only four goals in three matches last week, yet came away with three victories. The key result was a 1-0 decision over Stoneman Douglas on a goal by Guilherme Saturnino.
