The winter high school season includes the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

James Bradford scored twice and Ben Schwing added the clincher as St. Paul's defeated Sulfur 3-1 to advance to the state quarterfinals. The Wolves have now won 37 straight matches and are 61-2-4 in their last 67 contests.

Henry Bowland had a pair of two-goal outings last week, first in a 2-0 win over rival Reagan and then in a 4-1 decision over Roosevelt.

Elsik was held to a 1-1 draw by George Ranch last week before mounting a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Alief Taylor. Edgar Renteria and Mayno Linares netted the goals against Taylor.

Diego Avalos got the scoring started as Doral Academy cruised to a 4-0 win over Miami Beach in a Class 6A regional semifinal contest. The Firebards advance to the regional final against South Broward, which is coming off a 2-0 win over St. Thomas Aquinas.

Marcus Flower Mound, TX 13-0-1
Marcus cruised to a 6-2 win over MacArthur last week on Teacher Appreciation Night. That worked out to one goal for every 10 teachers who were acknowledged that evening.

Wakeland Frisco, TX 14-0-1
Marc Borbonus served up assists on the first three goals as Wakeland rolled to a 4-0 win over Lebanon Trail last week. Wakeland now as a comfortable lead in the district standings as the other nine district opponents all have two or more league losses.

Montgomery Santa Rosa, CA 19-0-1
Montgomery allowed only three goals in league play this year, and the final goal resulted in a 1-1 draw with Rancho Cotate, ending Montgomery's 29-match regular season win streak.

School Facts: Private, 1,200 students, grades K-12.
NOTES: Montverde Academy has secured a 10th straight Top 10 finish during the 2019-2020 season. This team is likely to move up as the rest of the season plays out. The Eagles' marquee win came during the final week of play, a 3-2 decision over Top 25-ranked Tampa Jesuit. The first verbal commit from this year's Eagles team was Olivier Correa (Jacksonville), followed by Edward Mensah (Penn State) and Richy LaPointe (Jacksonville).

Boca Raton Boca Raton, FL 25-0-0
Daniel Trani converted a penalty kick to carry Boca Raton to a 1-0 win over Park Vista and into this week's regional final. The Bobcats face Spanish River with the winner advancing to the Class 7A state semifinals.

Brandon Pacheco scored both goals as Santa Barbara knocked off Mater Dei 2-0 in the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs. The result sets up a clash with SIMA FAB 50 No. 16 Cathedral in the section quarterfinals.

Duncanville scored three goals in each of its outings last week, but three wasn't enough for a victory in a 3-3 draw with district rival W.T. White. The Panthers did have a 3-0 win over Richardson.

Pato Sanchez had a goal and two assists as Southlake Carroll handled Eaton 5-0 last week in the team's only outing.

De La Salle Concord, CA 19-1-1
De La Salle avenged its only loss of the season with a 3-0 victory over San Ramon Valley. The win secured the league title for De La Salle, which has a win over Servite and a draw with Cathedral this season.

Loyola Los Angeles, CA 20-2-3
Siena commit Michael Maloney, a defender, scored two goals and Loyola's defense held Newbury Park without a shot in a 4-0 CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoff victory. The Cubs next clash with SIMA FAB 50 No. 27 Santa Ana in the section quarterfinals.
15 (15) Tampa Jesuit Tampa, FL 21-3-2
Carson Bien and Lucas Gobea each scored twice as Tampa Jesuit edged Land O'Lakes 4-3 in the regional semifinals. The Tigers next face Lake Gibson with the winner moving to the state semifinals. Tampa Jesuit is the last remaining region No. 1 seed remaining in Class 5A as the other three all lost in the regional semifinals.
16 (16) Cathedral Los Angeles, CA 15-4-2
Alejandro Mendez and Jonathan Carrillo scored the goals as Cathedral defeated Anaheim 2-0 in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs. The Phantoms will clash with Santa Barbara in the quarterfinals in a rematch of the 2018 section final.

Central Catholic San Antonio, TX 14-2-0
Central Catholic defeated Beaumont Kelly Catholic 3-0 to return to the TAPPS state semifinals. The Buttons will face St. Thomas, a regionally ranked team that finished as a runner-up in an event in Florida that featured state-ranked programs.

JSerra San Juan Capistrano, CA 14-3-1
JSerra held off Godinez 2-1 in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs last week. The Lions move on to a sectional quarterfinal clash with Mission Viejo.
19 University Irvine, CA 15-5-2
University stunned top-seeded San Clemente in penalty kicks following a scoreless draw in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs. The win moves University into the Top 25 for the time being, but another big challenge awaits as it will face Servite in the section quarterfinals.

NOTES: San Clemente's stellar season came to an end with a shootout loss to University in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs following a scoreless match. San Clemente's season included a championship in the Lotto Western Showcase and wins over Servite, Santa Barbara, Santa Ana and Watsonville.

Eduardo Villeda and Jesus Melgoza scored the goals as Servite edged Aliso Niguel 2-1 in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs. The Friars next face University, which upset San Clemente.

Torrey Pines San Diego, CA 17-2-3
Torrey Pines avenged its only league loss with a 5-0 victory over Canyon Crest Academy that secured the Avocado West league title for the Falcons. Torrey Pines then closed out the regular season with a 1-0 victory over rival La Costa Canyon. Torrey Pines starts as the No. 2 seed in the CIF San Diego Open playoffs, which begin Tuesday night.

Raudel Ochoa and A. Burruel-Valenzuela each had a goal and one assist as Sunnyside rolled into the state quarterfinals with a 4-0 win over North Canyon. The Blue Devils are 46-1-2 in their last 49 matches and haven't lost to an Arizona opponent since 2018.

Brophy Prep cruised into the state quarterfinals following an 8-0 thrashing of North Phoenix last week. Like FIMA FAB 50 No. 23 Sunnyside, Brophy is undefeated this year against Arizona opponents.

Oak Ridge capped an undefeated regular season with a 5-0 win over Folsom. The team opens up as the No. 2 seed in the CIF Sac Joaquin Division I playoffs. Jesuit, the No. 26 team in this week's SIMA FAB 50, is the top seed.
