FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: California (fall), Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.
The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

1 (1) Northern Highlands Allendale, NJ 16-0-0
A much-anticipated clash with No. 4 Immaculate Heart Academy was put on hold due to bad weather. The teams were scheduled to play Monday night.
2 (2) McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 15-0-0
Season Complete. Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland champion.
School Facts: Private, 1,300 students, grades K-12.
NOTES: It took a bit longer than expected, but McDonogh capped a perfect season with a shootout victory over Notre Dame Prep after a 0-0 match. North Carolina State commit Kia Rankin converted the deciding penalty kick. North Carolina commit Bridgette Andrzewjwski, Danni Steigerwald and Gaby Vincent also converted PKs. McDonogh defeated teams from three states, highlighted by a 5-0 win over perennial New Jersey prep power Pennington Prep. The Eagles outscored their opponents 67-4 on the season. McDonogh has now won four of the last five IAAM titles.
3 (3) Maria Carrillo Santa Rosa, CA 19-0-1
Madison Gonzalez scored three goals as Maria Carrillo capped an undefeated regular season with a 5-0 win over Ukiah.
4 (4) Immaculate Heart Academy Twp. of Washington, NJ 17-0-0
Immaculate Heart Academy will have a chance to move up in the FAB 50 when it faces top-ranked Northern Highlands this week.
5 (5) Walsh Jesuit Cuyahoga Falls, OH 20-0-1
Walsh Jesuit routed North Royalton 7-1 in the regional final to advance to this week's state semifinals. Next up is a meeting with Magnificat, which Walsh Jesuit defeated 2-1 earlier in the season. The other side of the semifinal bracket features Dublin Coffman, another team that Walsh Jesuit defeated by a goal. Walsh Jesuit carries a 68-match undefeated streak into the state semifinals.
6 (6) Seneca Valley Harmony, PA 22-0-0
Cassidy Testa scored the lone goal as Seneca Valley defending its WPIAL title with a 1-0 victory over Canon-McMillan. Seneca Valley advances to this week's 16-team Class AAA state tournament.
7 (7) St. Anthony's Melville, NY 16-0-1
St. Anthony's received goals from four plays in a 4-1 win over St. John the Baptist in the CHSAA final.

Massapequa Massapequa, NY 13-1-3
Hope Breslin scored twice as Massapequa scored three second-half goals to put away MacArthur and advance to this week's county semifinals.

Cumberland Valley Mechanicsburg, PA 22-0-2
Cashlin Copley scored the first two goals as Cumberland Valley defeated Elizabethtown 3-0 in the District 3 final. Next up is the Class AAA state tournament.
10 (10) Issaquah Issaquah, WA 11-1-1
Issaquah was idle last week. The team was scheduled to face SIMA FAB 50-ranked Skyline on Monday.

Pennsbury Fairless Hills, PA 19-0-3
Pennsbury claimed its first District 1 in 14 years with a 2-0 win over Central Bucks East. Interestingly, head coach Kaitlyn Battiste was a freshman on the last Pennsbury squad to win the district title.

Season Complete. Minnesota Class AA state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,400 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: US Youth National team player Jade King scored the lone goal as Eagan capped an undefeated season with a 1-0 win over Eden Prairie. The win marked Eagan's first state title since 1996. Head coach Turk Ozturk, who led Lakeville North to a Class AA state runner-up finish last year, took over the Eagan program this past summer.

Sacred Heart Academy Louisville, KY 22-2-0
Abigail Zoeller scored a pair of goals as Sacred Heart rolled to a 7-0 win over Madisonville-North Hopkins in the state quarterfinals.

Acton-Boxborough Acton, MA 17-0-1
Acton-Boxboro received the No. 1 seed in the North Division 1 tournament, which earns the team a bye into the quarterfinal round, which will be held Thursday.

Dublin Coffman Dublin, OH 14-1-6
Freshman Abby Steiner and senior Courtney Dille scored the goals to carry Dublin Coffman to a 2-0 win over Olentangy and into the state semfinals. Next up is a clash with FAB 50-ranked Mason.

Fishers Fishers, IN 16-1-6
Season Complete. Indiana Class AA state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,200 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Freshman Gretchen Mills scored the lone goal as Fishers stunned Carmel 1-0 for the program's first state title. Fishers was the runner-up to Avon last year. Fishers' lone loss was to city rival Hamilton Southeastern, which it avenged in the postseason. In addition, Fishers tied Carmel, had a win and a draw with Noblesville, and a draw with St. Ursula Academy (Ohio). Overall, Fishers went 3-1-5 against teams that appeared in the SIMA FAB 50 this season.

Kentridge rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to tie Tahoma last week.

Season Complete. Indiana Class AA state runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 4,400 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Carmel's bid for a 10th state title since Indiana sanctioned the sport in 1994 was denied in a 1-0 setback to Fishers. Carmel went 6-2-2 against teams that appeared in the SIMA FAB 50 this season. Seniors Amanda Shaw (Missouri) and Ryan Kokoska (UC Santa Barbara) have committed to NCAA Division I programs.

Season Complete. Indiana Class AA region runner-up.
School Facts: Private, 775 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Brebeuf Jesuit's perfect run ended with a 3-1 loss to Carmel in the region final. That result came just days after Brebeuf Jesuit defeated Avon in the region semifinal. Michigan commit Reilly Martin ended the season with 29 goals and 27 assists. Brebeuf Jesuit outscored its opponents 115-18, and posted key wins over Avon, Center Grove, Zionsville, Mount Notre Dame (Ohio) and Notre Dame Academy (Ky.).

Bridget Galen scored twice as Villa Joseph Marie routed Gwynedd Mercy 5-0 in the District 1-AA final. VJM moves on to the state tournament starting this week.

Walt Whitman Bethesda, MD 14-0-0
Abby Meyers, a 6-foot sophomore, scored the lone goal as Whitman edged Bethesda-Chevy Chase 1-0 in a battle of perennial Montgomery County girls soccer powers. The win sends Whitman into the region final against Northwest.

Montanna Hill scored three goals as Linganore routed rival Urbana 5-1 in the sectional final to advance to this week's regional final against Damascus.

Season Complete. Tennessee Class AAA state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,400 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Kelsey Greiff, Salera Jordan and Ella Baggett scored as Clarksville claimed the program's first state title with a 3-1 win over Germantown Houston. The result ended a 46-match undefeated run for Houston. Clarksville ended the season with a 19-match win streak. Jeff Jordan, the coach of Clarksville, has coached a number of the players since elementary school.

Senior Anna Vogt scored three goals as Exeter routed Concord 5-1 in the state quarterfinals last week.

Douglas defeated Carson 2-0 last week, giving this Nevada power a staggering 101-9 goal scoring margin over its opponents.
