FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: California (fall), Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.
The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Maria Carrillo defeated Bishop O'Connell (Va.) 3-0 and Good Counsel (Md.) 6-1, scoring eight second-half goals after both matches were tied at halftime. Miranda Gonzalez had three goals and three assists between the two matches. Santa Clara commit Maddie Gonzalez served up four assists.
2 (2) Northern Highlands Allendale, NJ 2-0-0
Three players scored as Northern Highlands defeated Paramus 3-0 last week.
3 (3) Lenape Medford Township, NJ 2-0-0
Wake Forest commit Lizzie Kinkler and Marissa Topolski netted the goals as Lenape edged rival and state-ranked Eastern 2-1 last week.

Stanford commit Alana Cook and Olivia McCutcheon scored first-half goals to carry Pennington School past Germantown Academy (Pa.) 2-0 last week.

McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 3-0-0
North Carolina commit Bridgette Andrzejewski has scored 12 goals in McDonogh's three matches, which included six in a match against Mercy last week.

Montgomery Santa Rosa, CA 7-0-0
Montgomery inched higher in the chase for No. 1 following wins over Bishop O'Connell (Va.) 2-1 and Good Counsel (Md.) 2-0 last week. Virginia commit Taylor Ziemer converted two penalty kicks in the win over Good Counsel.

Brebeuf Jesuit Indianapolis, IN 7-0-0
Michigan commit Reilly Martin scored goals in both matches as Brebeuf Jesuit defeated Fort Wayne Carroll and Crown Point on Saturday. Indiana is one of the few states where teams often play two matches on a Saturday during the early part of the season.

Jillian Jennings had a goal and two assists last week as Montclair won a pair of matches.

Houston Germantown, TN 8-0-1
Houston ripped St. Agnes 6-0 and archrival Germantown 7-0 last week, giving the squad eight shutouts in nine matches and 46 goals scored.

Portland Jesuit Portland, OR 3-0-0
Portland Jesuit, which didn't allow a goal until a state final loss last year, is again off to a strong defensive start. The team shut out Union (Wash.) 1-0 and Wilson 4-0 last week.

Boston College commit Jenna Bike scored both goals that rallied St. Joseph to a 2-1 win over Ridgefield. The win extended the team's undefeated streak to 25 matches.

Hudson edged Copley 1-0 on Saturday, marking the team's third one-goal win in its last four outings. Hudson's perfect record has earned it a spot as state No. 1 as all other favorites have lost or tied matches so far this season. Hudson's next big test will be in two weeks against FAB 50-ranked Medina.

William & Mary commit MacKenzie Kober had two goals and two assists, and Miranda Ozimek scored three goals last week as St. Anthony's won a pair of Catholic league matches.

Senior Halle Stelbasky, who missed the 2013 season due to injury, scored the lone goal as Walsh Jesuit defeated Dublin Coffman 1-0 on Saturday in a battle of perennial state title challengers.
15 Kentridge Kent, WA 2-0-0
Kentridge stunned previous Top 5-ranked Skyline 3-1 last week. Skyline struck first before Kentridge a rallied with three goals.

Cumberland Valley was held to a draw by undefeated and state-ranked Upper St. Clair last week.

Massapequa Massapequa, NY 3-0-1
Melanie Hingher scored the lone goal as Massapequa defeated South Side 1-0 in a battle of state title contenders. Massapequa is the defending Class AA state champ, while South Side is always in the mix in New York's Class A.

IHA started its season with a 6-0 win over Holy Angels last week.

Carmel is riding a five-match shutout streak going into this week's action.
20 Peters Township McMurray, PA 6-0-0
In recent years, the Pittsburgh area has finally and consistently challenged for large school state titles in Pennsylvania, and Peters Township is emerging as the Pittsburgh area favorite this year. The team has five shutouts in six matches, and a contest against undefeated Upper St. Clair (which recently tied Cumberland Valley) in two weeks will be important in the state rankings.

Skyline was dealt a 2-0 setback by Kentridge, costing the team a shot at a FAB 50 No. 1 ranking. Skyline had inched up to No. 4, marking an all-time high for the program.

Mount Notre Dame Cincinnati, OH 4-0-2
Mount Notre Dame travels to Indianapolis this weekend to take on No. 7 Brebuef Jesuit (Ind.). Both teams should enter that match undefeated. Mount Notre Dame's only contest prior to seeing Brebuef is Wednesday against a winless Seton squad.

Mason has rolled off seven straight wins since a season-opening draw with FAB 50-ranked St. Ursula. Jill Vetere leads the team with six goals and three assists.
24 (24) Tualatin Tualatin, OR 2-1-0
Tualatin defeated Wilsonville 3-0 in its only match last week.
25 (25) Issaquah Issaquah, WA 3-1-0
Issaquah defeated Lake Washington and Snohomish last week to improve to 3-1. This week, the team travels to Santa Rosa, Calif., to take on top-ranked Maria Carrillo.
