FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: California (fall sections only), Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Notre Dame commit Eva Hurm scored twice as Northern Highlands rolled past Old Tappen 4-0 in a North Jersey, Section 1, Group 3 quarterfinal match.
2 (2) McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 12-0-0*
Season Complete. Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference Champion.
School Facts: Private, 1,350 students, grades K-12.
NOTES: North Carolina State commit Kia Rankin scored twice to spark McDonogh to a 4-0 victory over Notre Dame Prep in the IAAM final, running the team's win streak to 34 matches. The Eagles averaged 6.6 goals per match. McDonogh's key wins were over Magnificat (Ohio), Immaculate Heart Academy (N.J.) and Pennington School (N.J.) -- all teams that have appeared in the SIMA FAB 50 -- by a combined 16-2 margin. North Carolina commit Bridgette Andrzejewski finished her high school career with 99 goals. Senior keeper Lindsey Clark, a Campbell commit, anchored the defense that allowed five goals on the season.

Season Complete. Utah Class 5A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,375 students, grades 10-12.
NOTES: Junior midfielder and BYU commit Mikayla Colohan scored on an assist from sophomore and fellow BYU commit Olivia Wade as Davis capped a perfect season with a 1-0 state final win over Weber. The win marked a second straight state title for Davis and ran the program's win streak to 24 matches.
4 (4) Walsh Jesuit Cuyahoga Falls, OH 19-0-1
Jackie Audino's second goal came in the closing minutes of overtime as Walsh Jesuit edged Strongsville 2-1 in a regional final. The Warriors held a 29-2 advantage in shots, but were unable to put Strongsville away until the 100th minute. The Warriors next meet Medina in a state semifinal clash.

Houston Germantown, TN 22-0-0*
Season Complete. Tennessee Class AAA state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,785 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Jenna Kemp, Paola Ellis and Jillian Hildreth netted the goals as Houston's depth was on full display in a one-sided, 3-0 win over Clarksville in a rematch of last year's state final. The win marked the seventh state title for Houston. Senior Gabby Little and Ellis, a junior, have committed to Ole Miss. Seniors Taylor White, a defender, and Mary Parker Powell, a goalkeeper, are bound for Austin Peay. Senior Anna Dellarosa has committed to Christian Brothers University.

Bria VarnBuhler scored twice as Maria Carrillo netted all of its goals in the first half during a 4-0 section quarterfinal win over Petaluma.

Glastonbury Glastonbury, CT 19-0-0
Glastonbury scored three goals in a 95-second span early in the match and rolled to a 7-0 win over Newington in the CCC final. Mara Cosentino scored twice in the second half for the Tomahawks.

Shannon Keefe scored twice as Ridge defeated Watchung Hills 4-0 in a North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 playoff match.

Colts Neck Colts Neck, NJ 20-0-1
Alison Russo scored in the 96th minute as Colts Neck rallied for a 2-1 overtime victory over Wall in a Central Jersey, Group 3 quarterfinal last week. With less than five minutes remaining in regulation, Amanda Visco scored on an assist from Frankie Tagliaferri to tie the match at 1 and set up overtime.

Medina Medina, OH 18-0-3
Maria nelson scored with 11 seconds left in regulation as medina edged Perrysburg 2-1 in a battle of undefeated teams in an Ohio Division I region final. Medina advances to the state semifinals and will face SIMA FAB 50 No. 4 Walsh Jesuit.

Taylor Robertson and Taylor Kofton each scored twice as Whitman-Hanson rolled to a 6-0 win over Newton South in a Division 1 South Section quarterfinal match. Five of Whitman-Hanson's goals came from underclassmen.

Central Bucks East Doylestown, PA 21-0-1
Delaney Kennedy and Megan Mannato netted second-half goals as Central Bucks East defeated Downingtown West 2-0 in the District 1-AAA final. The Patriots advance to this week's PIAA Class AAA Round of 16.

Brebeuf Jesuit Indianapolis, IN 22-2-1*
Season Complete. Indiana Class 2A state champion.
School Facts: Private, 800 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Audrey Heile scored the game-winning goal with five minutes left as Brebeuf Jesuit rallied for a 2-1 victory over Penn in the state final. The Braves fell behind 1-0 a minute into the match before Hallie Pearson, with an assist from Michigan commit Alia Martin, tied the match midway through the second half.

Eden Brooker assisted two goals as the Vikings received goals from four players in a 4-0 section quarterfinal win over Arcata.

Virginia Tech commit Jaylyn Thompson scored both goals -- one in each half -- as Eastern edged Cherokee 2-1 in the South Jersey, Group 4 playoffs.

Christina Edwards and Megan Cornett each scored three goals as Summit rolled to a 10-1 Class 5A state quarterfinal victory over Hood River Valley.

Seattle Prep Seattle, WA 18-0-1
Seven players contributed goals last week -- and none with more than two -- as Seattle Prep cruised to wins over Eastside Catholic and Bishop Blanchet by a combined 11-0 margin.
20 Norwin Irwin, PA 22-0-0
Lexie Kolano, a junior, assisted on two goals as Norwin overwhelmed Upper St. Clair 3-0 in the WPIAL Class AAA final. The victory marked Norwin's first WPIAL title in 18 years, and its one-sided win over a previous SIMA FAB 50-ranked team resulted in a major move up in the rankings this week.

School Facts: Public, 3,400 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Florida State commit Kristina Lynch, a sophomore, scored 61 seconds into the match, but Penn was unable to hold the lead in the second half in a 2-1 state final loss to Brebeuf Jesuit. For the season, Penn outscored its opponents 121-6. Lynch had a team-high 27 goals.

School Facts: Public, 1,300 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Perrysburg's undefeated season came to an end with a 2-1 loss to Medina in the region final. Medina scored the winner with 11 seconds left in regulation. Kristina DeMarco scored Perrysburg's goal.

Lexi Leff scored the lone goal as Seattle Academy edged King's 1-0 last week.

Massapequa Massapequa, NY 17-1-1
Massapequa received goals from three players in a 3-0 victory over West Islip in the New York Class AA state quarterfinals. The Chiefs are now two wins away from a third straight New York large school state title.
25 Eagan Eagan, MN 19-2-1*
Season Complete. Minnesota Class AA state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,100 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Freshman Megan Plaschko came up with a diving save to end the shootout and give Eagan a second straight state title with a victory over Eden Prairie. The match was scoreless through regulation and overtime.
